THE OPPORTUNITY:
Our client, a rapidly scaling software company providing subscription-based enterprise solutions, is seeking a Global Corporate Controller to join its leadership team. The role is ideal for an experienced accounting leader with a proven track record in SaaS organizations and familiarity with fast-growth environments.
The Controller will oversee accounting operations, lead the month-end close, manage compliance and reporting, and drive automation and process improvement across systems, including NetSuite.
This position is open to candidates based in the Mountain or Pacific Time Zones, with periodic travel to the company’s headquarters in the Pacific Northwest.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead all aspects of the company’s accounting operations, including general ledger, revenue recognition, consolidations, and financial reporting.
Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering professional development and operational excellence.
Partner with FP&A, operations, and executive leadership to support strategic financial planning and decision-making.
Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to support the company’s rapid growth.
Drive system and process improvements, leveraging NetSuite and related SaaS accounting tools.
Collaborate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
Support due diligence and financial readiness initiatives for future funding or M&A activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
12–15+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, including time as a Controller or senior accounting leader in a SaaS or technology environment.
Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, subscription revenue accounting, and financial reporting in multi-entity global structures.
Proven success building and scaling accounting teams within a high-growth, cloud-based or software business.
Experience preparing an organization for IPO or working within a public-company environment is strongly preferred.
Strong command of ERP systems (NetSuite or equivalent) and excellent proficiency in Excel.
Demonstrated ability to improve processes, implement controls, and drive operational efficiency.
Exceptional communication skills, executive presence, and ability to partner effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
