Skywater is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead capital project execution and engineering initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites. This role combines team leadership, hands-on project involvement, and cross-site coordination, with a strong focus on project delivery, process safety, and engineering standards.
Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of 4 engineers, providing coaching, direction, and performance management
Oversee a portfolio of capital projects ($1M–$10M), ensuring on-time and on-budget execution
Provide technical oversight and guidance on project design, execution, and commissioning
Support plant operations through troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and process improvements
Drive consistency in engineering standards and best practices across multiple sites
Partner cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, EHS, and external vendors
Support and reinforce PSM systems, including participation in PHAs and MOC processes
Desired Skills And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or related Engineering field
10–15+ years of experience in chemical or batch manufacturing environments
Proven experience managing engineers (direct people leadership required)
Demonstrated capital project experience ($1M–$7M range)
Working knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) systems and processes
