Phenom is looking for a Managing Editor/Editorial Manager to join our Marketing team and elevate the quality, consistency, and impact of content across the organization. This role is critical in shaping Phenom’s brand voice by editing, refining, and guiding high-quality content that aligns with our products, messaging, and go-to-market priorities.
What You’ll Do
Review, edit, and refine marketing content across blogs, reports, emails, landing pages, digital ads, social copy, scripts, ebooks, and web content
Ensure all content is accurate, clear, on-brand, and aligned with Phenom’s editorial standards and messaging frameworks
Maintain and evolve Phenom’s editorial style guide to ensure consistency across teams and channels
Provide actionable editorial feedback and coach writers and cross-functional contributors
Partner closely with product marketing, demand generation, creative, and customer-facing teams to reflect current product positioning and narratives
Support content storytelling, messaging refinement, and overall writing craft
Occasionally write or co-author high-impact, narrative-driven content
Help manage and prioritize the editorial content calendar
Use analytics tools (GA4, HubSpot, marketing automation platforms) to evaluate content performance and optimize impact
Optimize content for different channels (LinkedIn, email, paid media, video, web)
Stay current on industry trends, editorial best practices, emerging formats, and buyer behaviors
Leverage AI and content automation tools to improve efficiency and content quality
What You Bring
5+ years of editorial or content management experience in a B2B, SaaS, or similar environment
Exceptional writing and editing skills with a strong eye for detail, grammar, and narrative flow
Proven experience coaching writers and improving content quality at scale
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
Strong understanding of brand voice, positioning, and storytelling
Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
Hands-on, curious, and self-starting mindset
Bonus Points
SaaS or HR tech experience
Experience managing editorial programs or style guides
Familiarity with CMS platforms (Contentful, WordPress) and basic HTML
Education
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, English, or a related field

Salary
Expected salary range $90,000 - $100,000
Please note the Salary range is subject to change in the future in accordance with Phenom’s policies
