Director of Construction

About the Role

I am currently seeking a Director of Construction to lead projects for Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) brands for a General Contractor in Texas. This role is ideal for a construction leader or a Senior Project Manager who is ready to step-up to a DoC role who thrives in a fast‑paced, multi‑site environment and understands the unique demands of high‑volume retail and restaurant delivery.

What You’ll Lead

Oversee all phases of construction for QSR projects across Texas and surrounding regions, from pre‑construction through closeout.

Manage project teams, including project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with schedule, budget, and quality expectations.

Build and maintain strong relationships with national QSR clients, architects, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Develop and refine operational processes, reporting structures, and performance metrics to support scalable growth.

Provide executive‑level forecasting, risk management, and strategic planning for a growing project portfolio.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, permitting requirements, and brand‑specific construction guidelines.

What You Bring

Proven leadership experience with a general contractor, ideally in a Director‑level or senior project leadership role.

A strong track record delivering QSR or high‑volume retail projects (ground‑up, TI, remodels, or rollouts).

Deep understanding of fast‑track schedules, multi‑site coordination, and franchise brand standards.

Ability to lead teams, manage client expectations, and drive operational excellence.

Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
