Director - Data Architect

We’re partnering with a leading, large-scale financial services organization undergoing a major transformation across its Data & Analytics ecosystem.

This is a high-impact Director-level individual contributor role where you’ll sit at the heart of a newly consolidated enterprise data function, designing and shaping end-to-end data architecture across critical business domains.

You’ll play a key role in architecting and delivering scalable data platforms, data products, and analytics solutions - spanning everything from source systems through to business consumption (BI, applications, and operational systems).

This role combines hands-on architecture, strategic design, and cross-functional influence across business and technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end data architecture across data hubs, data products, and customer/CRM ecosystems
• Architect data flows from source → ingestion → transformation → consumption (analytics, BI, applications)
• Own and define data models across key business domains (OLTP & OLAP)
• Build and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines (batch & real-time)
• Develop reusable data frameworks and architectural patterns for enterprise use
• Lead POCs and evaluation of new data, cloud, and platform technologies
• Ensure adherence to data governance, quality, security, and compliance standards
• Partner with stakeholders across business, data science, engineering, governance, and enterprise architecture
• Provide technical leadership across multiple concurrent data initiatives

Requirements

• Strong experience in Data Architecture across both traditional and modern platforms
• Deep expertise in data modeling (OLTP & OLAP) and enterprise data design
• Proven experience building data pipelines and large-scale data platforms
• Strong exposure to cloud ecosystems (Azure and/or AWS)
• Experience working with data warehouses, data lakes, and big data frameworks (Spark, Hadoop, etc.)
• Understanding of data governance, data quality, and enterprise data standards
• Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
• Ability to operate as a senior individual contributor influencing at scale

Nice to Have

• Exposure to GenAI / AI-enabled data use cases
• Experience with streaming / real-time architectures
• Familiarity with Salesforce data ecosystems
• DevOps / CI-CD exposure within data environments
• Experience within financial services or insurance environments
