- Public Sector Compliance: Ensure all migration activities adhere to FedRAMP, FISMA, and agency-specific security controls (USPTO, FDA, NOAA).
- Partnership Collaboration: Serve as the technical liaison between the internal IT teams, AWS account teams, and Actionet (or similar Tier 1 AWS Partners) to ensure alignment on migration factory best practices.
- Infrastructure Modernization: Design landing zones, network architecture (Direct Connect), and security baselines for AWS cloud environments.
- Talent & Knowledge Transfer: Mentor junior engineers and operations staff during the migration lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen (ability to obtain Public Trust or Higher).
- Experience: 3 to 20 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in Data Center to AWS Cloud migrations.
- Technical Skills:
- Deep expertise in AWS native migration tools (CloudEndure, AWS Migration Hub, Application Discovery Service, Database Migration Service - DMS).
- Experience with VMware to AWS (CloudEndure) or Hyper-V migrations.
- Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Direct Connect).
