Client Service Associate

Overview

Our firm has been engaged by a respected regional bank on Long Island to identify a Lead Teller to support daily branch operations and provide guidance to frontline staff. This role is ideal for an experienced teller looking to step into a leadership position while remaining hands-on in delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day teller operations, ensuring efficient and accurate transaction processing
• Serve as a point of contact for teller staff, providing guidance, training, and mentorship
• Assist with scheduling, workflow coordination, and coverage to maintain service levels
• Monitor cash handling, balancing, and adherence to internal controls and procedures
• Help ensure compliance with bank policies, security protocols, and regulatory requirements
• Address customer inquiries and resolve escalated issues in a professional and timely manner
• Support branch leadership with reporting, audits, and operational tasks as needed
• Promote a positive customer experience and identify opportunities for referrals

Qualifications

• 3+ years of teller experience within a retail banking environment
• Prior experience in a senior teller or informal leadership role preferred
• Strong understanding of teller operations, cash handling, and banking procedures
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred
