The Opportunity

Lead a growing industrial services company through its next phase of strategic growth. Partner with the current CEO as he transitions to Chairman, then take the reins of a business backed by private equity with strong market position and real growth potential.


What You'll Do

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute business strategy for profitable growth and market expansion
  • Lead strategic planning including M&A, market penetration, and service line expansion
  • Partner with PE stakeholders to deliver on value creation objectives
  • Build long-term partnerships with key customers, suppliers, and industry players

Operations

  • Drive improvements in service delivery, safety, and customer satisfaction
  • Implement scalable processes and systems to support growth
  • Ensure consistent quality and efficiency across all locations
  • Lead digital transformation to modernize operations

Financial Management

  • Own P&L and deliver against budget targets and investor expectations
  • Manage capital allocation for equipment, facilities, and technology
  • Optimize pricing strategy and margins
  • Lead budgeting and quarterly board reviews

Leadership & Culture

  • Build and lead high-performing executive team
  • Foster culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Drive talent acquisition and retention strategies
  • Champion safety and regulatory compliance

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as primary interface with PE sponsors and board
  • Maintain key customer relationships and drive retention
  • Represent company at industry events and in the community
  • Communicate vision and performance to all stakeholders


What You Need

Experience:

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership in industrial service industry
  • Proven CEO or President with P&L responsibility
  • Led companies in the $25-75M revenue range
  • PE-backed company experience with board governance
  • Track record delivering growth and profitability targets in PE environment
  • M&A experience including due diligence and integration

Industry Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of industrial services markets and competitive dynamics
  • Knowledge of regulatory environment and compliance requirements
  • Experience with complex B2B sales cycles and long-term contracts
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment, maintenance, and technology trends

Skills:

  • Strategic planning and execution
  • Strong financial management—budgeting, forecasting, capital allocation
  • Data-driven decision making and problem solving
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills for board and investors

Education & Personal Qualities:

  • Bachelor's required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • High integrity and commitment to safety
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments
