The Opportunity
Awesome opportunity to join an industrial/commercial services company that is transitioning from founder led to investor led. The Company has a national presence and you will need to professionalize/standardize operations, increase revenue, and improve EBITDA.
You must be a CEO who has led a blue-collar services company and scaled it from less than $50M to $100M+, have worked with private equity, and are able to make an investment for some additional equity.
Strategic Leadership
Set and execute the company’s growth strategy, expanding market presence and service capabilities
Lead long-term planning initiatives including acquisitions, new markets, and service offerings
Collaborate with private equity partners to achieve value creation goals
Develop strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and industry partners
Operational Excellence
Improve service quality, operational efficiency, and safety performance
Introduce scalable processes and systems to support continued growth
Maintain consistent service delivery across markets
Drive operational modernization through technology and digital initiatives
Financial Oversight
Manage full P&L responsibility and deliver against financial targets
Oversee capital investment decisions related to equipment, facilities, and systems
Improve pricing strategy and margin performance
Lead annual planning and provide regular performance updates to the board
Team Leadership & Culture
Build and develop a strong leadership team
Promote a culture centered on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
Attract, develop, and retain top talent across the organization
Ensure adherence to regulatory and safety standards
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the primary liaison with private equity sponsors and the board
Maintain strategic relationships with major customers
Represent the company within the industry and broader community
Communicate business strategy and performance internally and externally
Qualifications
Experience
15+ years of leadership experience in industrial or field services environments
Prior CEO or President role with full P&L accountability
Experience scaling organizations from less than $50M to over $100M
Background working within private equity-backed companies and board governance structures
Demonstrated success driving growth and profitability
Experience supporting acquisitions, including diligence and integration
Industry Knowledge
Familiarity with industrial/commercial service markets and competitive landscape
Exposure to industrial equipment, maintenance, or technical service operations
Core Skills
Strategic planning and operational execution
Analytical and data-driven decision making
Strong communication skills with ability to engage boards and investors
Education & Attributes
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or MBA preferred
High level of integrity and strong commitment to safety
Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to operate in dynamic environments
