The Job
The Category Management manager is responsible for executing category strategies and supporting the development of sourcing plans across assigned spend areas. The role includes supplier performance tracking, market research, internal stakeholder collaboration, and supporting sustainability and cost-optimization goals. The Manager plays a key role in turning high-level strategy into actionable plans, while ensuring day-to-day category performance.
The Day-to-day
Support implementation of category strategies and plans developed by the Senior Manager or Director.
Conduct market research and supplier analysis to inform decision-making.
Monitor category performance metrics and report on outcomes.
Serve as a liaison for daily communication and issue resolution with suppliers.
Track supplier performance and help identify areas for improvement.
Assist in preparation for supplier business reviews and development plans.
Partner with sourcing and operations teams to ensure procurement execution aligns with business needs.
Communicate updates, issues, and opportunities to internal stakeholders.
Provide insights from operational teams to inform category planning.
Perform cost analysis, demand forecasting, and spend tracking.
Maintain data accuracy and tools used for tracking category health and supplier metrics.
Contribute to value tracking and performance dashboards.
Support compliance efforts by ensuring all vendors meet regulatory and ethical sourcing standards.
Help implement ESG and supplier diversity programs within the category scope.
The Ideal Candidate
Minimum of 4+ Years of prior relevant experience in supply chain, category management, or procurement
Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field - Preferred
Experience with data analysis, supplier management, and cross-functional collaboration - Preferred
