At SierraConstellation Partners, exceptional results begin with how we show up for our clients. We lead with stewardship, build authentic connections, apply sharp and insightful thinking, and embrace an entrepreneurial mindset in everything we do. Our team of former CEOs, COOs, CFOs, private equity investors, and investment bankers have spent decades navigating the realities of running companies and guiding them through pivotal transitions.

Our commitment to excellence has earned recognition from The M&A Advisor and Global M&A Network, affirming our ability to deliver transformative operational improvements and financial solutions that help businesses restore value, strengthen creditor trust, and seize new opportunities for growth.

SierraConstellation Partners is seeking a highly motivated Associate to join our growing team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with professionals at all levels and across a wide range of industries. You will play an active role in diagnosing business challenges, conducting rigorous financial and operational analysis, building financial models, and delivering insights that support strategic decision-making.

You will apply your analytical acumen and strong grounding in accounting and finance to complex turnaround, restructuring, and performance-improvement engagements. Guided by experienced practitioners, you will help drive meaningful change for our clients—restoring stability, unlocking value, and strengthening stakeholder confidence. This is an opportunity for a proactive, entrepreneurial self-starter to step into high-impact work and develop quickly through hands-on experience and deep exposure to senior leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize large and sometimes incomplete data sets with efficiency, discernment, and accuracy.
  • Create, analyze, and maintain 13-week cash flow models and other financial models critical to client decision-making.
  • Support bankruptcy preparation and administration activities.
  • Prepare pitch materials, client deliverables, confidential information memoranda, and management presentations using sources such as Debtwire, SEC filings, company websites, and Capital IQ.
  • Engage directly with senior management teams, boards, and key stakeholders across all phases of distressed advisory work and transaction execution.
  • Leverage Excel, PowerPoint, and other tools to craft clear, compelling deliverables that support client communication and strategic alignment.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree and/or MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance, or other analytical fields.
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, or another environment providing formal financial modeling training.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and demonstrated ability to design, build, and use sophisticated financial models.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate proactively and professionally with clients and SCP leadership.
  • Ability to work well under pressure—balancing independent initiative with sound judgment on when to seek guidance.
  • A critical thinker with the perspicacity to rapidly evaluate companies, situations, and financial information.
  • Assertive, self-motivated, and driven to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where stewardship and connectivity matter.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
