I’m thrilled for the opportunity to help advance a brand that has inspired and delighted fans around the world for decades. Thanks Leon Suh, Archana Singh and Kenji Okubo for your trust and confidence in me, and for welcoming me to TPCi. This transition is especially meaningful because of the foundation my time at Danaher provided. I had the privilege of leading talented teams, partnering with outstanding leaders, and working in a culture that challenged me to elevate my thinking, execution, and impact. I’m grateful for the mentorship, collaboration, and support I experienced there, and for the trust placed in me throughout my journey. To my Danaher colleagues, thank you for the experiences, high standards, and support that have shaped my journey so far. I’ve learned a lot and truly enjoyed working alongside you. To my new teammates at TPCi, I’m really looking forward to getting to know you, learning how things are done here, and finding ways to add value. Excited to see what we can build together in this next chapter.

The AI world is obsessed with the wrong debate. Every day, I see founders apologizing for being "just a wrapper" around Claude or GPT, as if that's somehow shameful. Remember this : Every successful company in history is a wrapper around something else. The Wrapper Economy Is Worth Trillions Check this out: ➤ Uber: $190B market cap. It's "just" a taxi wrapper. ➤ Airbnb: $87B market cap. It's "just" a hotel wrapper. The pattern is everywhere. Value isn't created by building the foundational technology, it's created by making that technology useful for specific problems. I see many people debating whether Harvey AI (legal) or Perplexity (search) are "real" companies, they're missing the actual data: ➤ Harvey: $5B valuation, $75M ARR ➤ Perplexity: $18B valuation, $150M monthly revenue run-rate ➤ Cursor: $10B+ valuation for a "VS Code wrapper" These aren't accidents. They're proof that customers buy solutions, not technology. People think LLM providers want to kill wrappers. But that's backwards. OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google NEED wrappers to succeed. Why? Because they can't serve every vertical, every use case, every workflow. They're infrastructure companies, not application companies. The most successful companies of the next decade will be built on AI. But they won't be AI companies, they'll be solution companies that use AI. Stop worrying about being a wrapper. Rather than boosting brain function, prolonged AI use may be dulling it. Over four months of cognitive data suggest we might be measuring productivity all wrong ⤵️ In MIT’s study, participants had their brains scanned while using ChatGPT. → 83.3% of users couldn’t recall a single sentence they’d written just minutes earlier. → In contrast, those writing without AI had no trouble remembering. Brain connectivity dropped sharply—from 79 to 42 points. → That’s a 47% drop in neural engagement. → The lowest cognitive performance among all user groups. Even after stopping ChatGPT use in later sessions, these users showed continued under-engagement. → Their performance remained lower than those who never used AI. → This suggests more than dependency—it’s cognitive weakening. Beyond the scans, educators flagged the writing itself. → Essays were technically solid, but often called “robotic,” “soulless,” and “lacking depth.” Here’s the paradox: → ChatGPT makes you 60% faster at completing tasks… → But it reduces the mental effort required for learning by 32%. The top-performing group? → Those who began without AI and added it later. → They retained the best memory, brain activity, and overall scores. Using ChatGPT can feel empowering—but it may quietly offload your thinking. → You gain speed, but lose engagement. → You get answers, but stop learning how to think. The takeaway isn’t to avoid AI—but to use it intentionally. → Use it to assist, not replace your mind. → Build cognitive strength—not dependency. MIT’s early study on AI and the brain lays out the stakes. The way we use these tools matters more than ever.

He stood behind me, tying to catch me cheating during the second test that I aced again. I don't believe that Indians get accused cheating at universities very often now. As a matter of fact, they are expected to ace tests now a days. So it is sad to see this wild claim claim by a currently serving ambassador. One does not become a doctor, a professor or an engineer by cheating. One definitely does not become an entrepreneur or a CEO by cheating. Every community has bad apples, that is why societies criminal justice system. But Indians have clawed their way to top by hard work and by playing by the rules. Nearly 80% of working age Indians have a graduate or a professional degree. Ambassador Carla Sands betrays her ignorance and bigotry by such wild claims. After more than 35 years across the Med Tech and Life Sciences industry, it is time to step back and retire from operational roles. Deciding when to step aside is one of the hardest choices any leader faces, but the best time to do so is when the foundation of what you built is rock solid. This step was planned for quite some time, but right now, our position and performance at Abcam have never been stronger. We have built enterprise discipline, developed incredible leaders across a complex global organization, and established real momentum. There is no better moment to pass the torch. When looking back at my 35+ year journey spanning Siemens, Carestream, Sciex, Leica Microsystems, Danaher, and now Abcam, the overwhelming emotion is gratitude. But this milestone is not about me as an individual; it is entirely about the PEOPLE, TEAMS, and CUSTOMERS I have had the absolute privilege to work with. To our CUSTOMERS and PARTNERS: Thank you for your enduring trust and collaboration. Whether partnering with the world's leading clinicians who truly impact lives or supporting scientists who drive progress every single day, your mission motivated me every day. To my current and former COLLEAGUES and TEAMS: Nobody moves a mountain alone. Over the past three decades, I have had the privilege of leading organizations ranging from small teams to large global organizations. Through periods of immense transformation, industry shifts, and broader macroeconomic challenges, one thing always remained constant: your resilience, dedication, and brilliance. You challenged me, supported me, and made our milestones and successes TOGETHER unforgettable. While we cannot control everything that happens in a fast-moving industry, we can always choose our attitude and dedication to serve our customers. I can honestly say I’ve enjoyed every single day as I was always surrounded by extraordinary PEOPLE. As I close this chapter with deep respect for my team here at Abcam, who will continue to drive progress every day, I have the absolute confidence in who’s stepping up next. Having Kaveh Kahen, Ph.D., take over as the new President of Abcam next Monday reminds us how vital a smooth transition is. Abcam is in very good hands, and our future trajectory is incredibly bright. As for what lies ahead: It is time to take a step back and enjoy life with my family in Europe and the US.
