Santi Subotovsky shared thisThe biggest difference I’m seeing inside companies right now is behavior. Some teams are still talking about AI. Others are building with it every day. Writing agents, testing workflows, shipping small things constantly. That gap compounds fast. We pulled together a few of those patterns in our latest newsletter: – how teams are actually using AI to increase velocity – what changes when AI moves into production – and where new infrastructure is starting to break Feels like one of those moments where the learning curve matters more than the roadmap. https://lnkd.in/gj-WpttNShould Your SaaS Company Become a Services Business?Should Your SaaS Company Become a Services Business?

Santi Subotovsky reposted thisSanti Subotovsky reposted thisSince 2023, we’ve known that Vipul Ved Prakash and his team at Together AI are building something special. As more companies across verticals adopt AI, it’s clear that generic, off-the-shelf models won’t cut it. That’s what makes Together AI so critical. They’re building a platform that enables enterprises of all shapes and sizes to pre-train their own proprietary models tailored to their individual workflows, providing the essential infrastructure that makes verticalized AI safer and more affordable. Today, Together AI returns to the Enterprise Tech 30 list as a late stage company – proving its longevity and quality in a crowded, noisy AI market. The ET30, by Wing Venture Capital and Eric Newcomer, is voted on by 90+ leading investors and corporate development leaders. It recognizes the private companies with the most potential to shape the future of enterprise technology. They see what we see – the companies who leverage AI in the right way will be the ones defining the next generation of business. Congratulations to the entire team at Together AI on this well-deserved milestone, and all companies honored this year. #ET30 https://lnkd.in/g--BxZP2

Santi Subotovsky shared thisAI washing is real, and it’s everywhere. A new interface, a chatbot, some automation, and suddenly every SaaS company is an AI company. But there’s a meaningful distinction. SaaS sells you a tool, and you figure out how to use it. AI-native services sell you the outcome and are accountable for delivering it. That's not a feature difference. That’s a fundamentally different business model. The category is still early and noisy. Our AI-Native Services playbook cuts through it → https://lnkd.in/gPihfzi3

Santi Subotovsky shared thisFund administration is one of the worst vendor experiences in venture. Slow, expensive, and built around the assumption that your time doesn't matter. I've been watching Hanover Park change that. The numbers speak for themselves. $1B to $15B in AUA in a year; migrations done in days rather than months. But what actually stands out is that they treat the service like a product. Every process is designed. Every migration is owned. This is what the category should have looked like years ago. Excited to see it finally exist. https://lnkd.in/gKx2uHjg

Santi Subotovsky shared thisOver the past year, I’ve noticed something changing in AI conversations. The early excitement was about what models could generate. The current questions are harder: Can it run in production? Can it handle edge cases? Can it improve economics, not just demos? In our latest Surfacing newsletter, we talk about AI entering its operating phase and what that means in practice: – Structuring private data so institutional reasoning compounds [tag] Rowspace – Designing adaptive systems instead of static deployments [tag] Adaption – Embedding autonomy directly into physical workflows [tag] Bedrock – Owning service delivery end-to-end with AI at the core [tag] Harper We also share perspectives on which moats survive in an agent-driven world, and what separates teams adapting from those hesitating. If you’re building right now, this phase feels different. The feedback loops are tighter. The tolerance for fragility is lower. Newsletter here: https://lnkd.in/geGGTYfk

Santi Subotovsky shared thisAnother Sweet-Bitter-Sweet moment! Sweet: I'm thrilled to see the incredible Logik.ai team win big with their acquisition by ServiceNow. What they've built is special — and it’s only going to grow stronger under the leadership of the great Bill McDermott and the stellar folks at ServiceNow. Bitter: At the same time, I can’t help but feel a bit of a void knowing I won’t get to see this team as often. The energy, the drive, the values — that kind of chemistry is rare. Sweet: But more than anything, I feel gratitude. The friendships we’ve built are real, and I know they’ll last well beyond any cap table. Congrats to everyone at Logik.ai and ServiceNow — can’t wait to see what you create together next. Christopher Shutts Richard J. Santi Subotovsky shared thisGratitude. That’s the first word that comes to mind as we announce our new $1 billion fund. Gratitude for the founders who put their trust in us and give us the privilege to join their journeys. Gratitude for our investors who believe not just in what we do, but in how we do it. Gratitude for our team for consistently living our values making Emergence Capital that rare blend of a venture firm with the heart of a startup. The next word? Commitment. This fund is more than capital—it’s our opportunity to double down on what we believe in: helping founders bend the odds from emerging to iconic. Over the past 20+ years, we’ve had the privilege to partner with some of the most iconic B2B companies of our generation—from Salesforce, to Veeva Systems, to BILL, to Box, to Doximity, to Zoom—and have built a track record that reflects the power of our approach: ▪️Over 1-in-5 grow beyond $1 billion valuations ▪️Over 1-in-10 go public ▪️Over $8B in realized returns on under $2B invested—fueling meaningful philanthropic impact across education, cancer research, climate change, and beyond. I'm thrilled, energized and excited to partner with the next generation of founders who are not only re imagining the future with AI but more importantly are already building it! Let's build a bright future together! https://lnkd.in/gBFgGSYhAnnouncing Emergence VII: A $1 Billion Commitment to Building Iconic B2B Companies | Emergence CapitalAnnouncing Emergence VII: A $1 Billion Commitment to Building Iconic B2B Companies | Emergence Capital

Santi Subotovsky liked thisSanti Subotovsky liked thisThe best enterprise AI rollouts sometimes begin with no rollout at all. It was after 2 a.m. in a hotel room in Italy. Liran Hason, VP of AI at Coralogix, was due to speak in a few hours at the company’s annual sales kickoff in front of more than 200 people. There was one problem: he had no slides. He opened Genspark. Ninety minutes later, he had a presentation he felt confident TAKING ON STAGE. The talk went well. Then something more interesting happened. The next day, colleagues started asking who had designed the deck. “Nobody believed me when I told them how quickly I had done this myself. It was like a magician doing tricks.” No IT mandate followed. No formal rollout plan. No budget had been set aside. People simply wanted to use the product. Within four months, adoption spread from Coralogix’s AI team into sales, marketing, engineering, and other departments. Complex AI products that once took the GTM team days to translate into sales-ready materials could now be turned around in hours. Sales created client decks. Engineers built quarterly reviews. Marketing produced event materials. Liran eventually created a branded Coralogix template inside Genspark - not a set of rigid slide layouts, but a shared visual system that lets every presentation tell its story differently while remaining unmistakably Coralogix. The lesson is bigger than presentations. Enterprise AI does not win because it checks the most boxes or looks impressive in a demo. It wins when people trust it enough to change how they work - and choose to tell their colleagues. As Liran put it: “Bottom-up adoption like this only happens when the product is really, really good.” We’re proud to work with one of the most AI-forward companies in observability and security, and even prouder that Genspark earned its way into people’s daily work. Proud to see Genspark included in the inaugural Lenny 100 - Lenny Rachitsky’s list of the 100 companies he would most want to join today, selected for talent density, ambition, upside, and active hiring: https://lnkd.in/eJAScKsd This recognition means a lot because talent density has been one of Genspark’s greatest advantages from day one. We are building a new way for people and AI agents to work together - turning ideas and goals into finished work across research, communication, creation, and execution. That takes people who are deeply curious, move with urgency, challenge assumptions, and care about the quality of what they ship. I’m incredibly proud of what our small team has already accomplished. I’m even more excited about the people who will join us for the next chapter. Thank you, Lenny, for including Genspark alongside so many exceptional companies. We’re hiring. Santi Subotovsky liked thisIt's an honor to keep doing what we love to do at Reach Capital: to support missionary founders taking a stab at creating the future of Work, Learning and Health. I have no doubt that right now the opportunity is bigger than ever to help shape a better future for millions around the world. Gratitude to our amazing LPs and the founders we have and will partner with, along this journey.Santi Subotovsky liked thisToday we’re announcing Fund V, our new, $265M fund to keep doing what we love and do best: invest at the early stages — pre-Seed, Seed and Series A — in founders building the tools that uplift human potential and the systems that support them. Progress happens when technology stops being a privilege and becomes ordinary. In this age of mega-funds and mega-rounds, there is a case to be made for boutique, specialist funds backing founders who can translate frontier tech into practical tools for the broader workforce, to serve people and institutions that can benefit the most. Reach is purpose-built for that founder. It’s the bet that was made on us, and it’s the one we’re still making. Letter from Reach Co-Founder and GP, Jennifer Carolan: https://lnkd.in/eTttsBF3

Santi Subotovsky liked thisSanti Subotovsky liked thisRecognition comes later, but the work comes first. Congratulations to Chelsea Finn and Brendan Foody on being named to the 2026 TIME100 AI list – a well-earned recognition of two founders reshaping how the world works. At Physical Intelligence, Chelsea and her team are helping build a new foundation for robotics: general-purpose AI models that can learn across tasks, environments, and hardware. Taking pilots from months to days. At Mercor, Brendan and his team are transforming how companies and AI labs identify, assess, and hire specialized talent at scale. Keeping human data at the center, they remove bottlenecks and instead helps companies continue building at a time when they can’t afford to fall behind. Chelsea and Brendan have the rare combination of exceptional technical talent and a visionary mindset – both of which have created entirely new possibilities in the way we work. Kevin Spain and Emergence are proud to have believed in them early – and even prouder to see them earn this recognition. Santi Subotovsky liked thisSanti Subotovsky liked thisTwo years ago, I joined a venture firm with zero dollars raised and no CRM, it was mostly a paper napkin idea. But I instantly knew I wanted in. Fast forward to today, and we are announcing $200M in our Fund II after our initial $150M Fund I. There's something clarifying about building from scratch alongside people who've operated at scale. Mike Gamson and Jason Duboe have seen what building GTM looks like from the ground up and planted the flag for Permanent Capital Ventures around a specific bet: that technical founders deserve a boutique partner who takes the transition from founder led sales to scaled GTM seriously. Not as an afterthought. As the whole game. Because we believe that distribution will define enduring companies in an AI-native world. None of this happens without the entrepreneurs who trusted us early. Vishal Sankhla, Anshu Jain, Diane Yu, Ganesh Ramakrishna, and the teams at Outmarket AI, Tidalwave, and Lyric -- you took a bet on us before anyone could recognize our name. And thank you Joseph Floyd for making the introduction. Grateful to everyone in our orbit supporting us to get this fund launched. 🚀

Santi Subotovsky liked thisSanti Subotovsky liked thisI work in VC. There are a lot of things I love about this industry. The thing I like the least? The lack of brilliant freaking women at the top. There are some new stats I really don't like about the likelihood of a female founder to become a unicorn (35% less likely than a male counterpart). Here’s the Venn diagram stuck in my head right now. - Founders are getting younger. YC's median founder is just 24 years old, and the average age of an AI unicorn founder dropped from 40 to 29 in just 4 years. - 996 got an industry rebrand: from dangerous to flex. It’s the stuff therapy and health crises are made of. - Becoming a founder and building a company now directly conflicts with life events that are fully timebound for women: pregnancy, birth, early childhood. Men can move things around, but women don’t have the same luxury. Any woman who looks at this math and chooses not to become a founder is making a logical assessment. Here's why this should worry you even if you will never be pregnant: women-led companies outperform their male counterparts. BCG found women-founded startups generate 78 cents of revenue per dollar of funding while male-founded were below half of that, at 31 cents. Having fewer female founders affects all of us; it’s a capital allocation error our entire industry is committing at once. There's a loud debate in tech right now about open v closed AI models. The case for encouraging both is that the more diverse the potential you let compete, the better the outcomes. This is the same argument: a system where half the founding talent can't genuinely compete is a closed model. The solution is not simple, but the cost of not trying is huge. Childcare, healthcare, and women's health research all get dismissed as special-interest asks, when they are actually infrastructure proposals. If this reads uncomfortably feminist to you, read it again. It's just capitalism. Redesign the system so women can actually compete and the market gets better. The technology gets better. The returns get better. All of it. Last week, Carlotta "Lotti" Siniscalco wrote: "We are living through the largest technology shift of our lifetimes, and the people at the top of this game are deciding what AI gets built, what it optimizes for, and who it serves. Those decisions will outlast every fund cycle. If women aren't at the top during this exact window, the future gets built without us." I don't have a fix, I have a forecast: conditions are going to get way worse. The women who choose to build despite the data will need to be more prepared, better resourced, and more brutally honest about the personal cost. Company culture is about to get really weird: a lot of very young dudes, in ruthless companies, with no one senior enough to check them. Prepare accordingly. (Lawyers, you’ll be rolling in it.) When fewer women build, whole categories of problems quietly stop getting solved. And right now, we need all the help we can get.

Santi Subotovsky liked thisSanti Subotovsky liked thisEight months. More than 7,000 business customers. And enterprise demand is still accelerating. Genspark is growing like wildfire - but the number I care about most is not how many companies sign up. It is how much value they create after they do. Grant Thornton (US) is exploring how Genspark can unlock a century of institutional expertise and help teams produce stronger RFP responses and client deliverables faster - as part of its $1 billion commitment to AI and technology. CIO Mike Kempe says Genspark is already saving him personally six to seven hours every week. Coralogix began with one late-night experiment. Its VP of AI used Genspark to build a presentation for more than 200 people in 90 minutes. Four months later, adoption had spread organically across AI, sales, marketing, engineering, and other teams - without an IT mandate, rollout plan, or preset budget. ADK, Japan’s third-largest advertising agency, redesigned how AI knowledge moves through the organization. Within two years, active Genspark users were reporting productivity gains of up to 250%. These stories matter because the real test of enterprise AI is not whether it looks impressive in a demo. It is whether people choose to use it, whether it changes daily behavior, and whether it produces measurable business outcomes. That is also why Customer Success is so important to us. We do not want customers to feel like account numbers. We want every customer to feel like a VIP - with a trusted partner who understands their goals, helps redesign workflows around AI, and stays close until the value is real. To meet the demand, we plan to add 50 people to our GTM organization before year-end, on top of our 80+ person global team. One of our highest priorities is hiring exceptional Customer Success Managers:https://lnkd.in/eNDgFzZZ You will own the post-sale relationship end to end and work with ambitious enterprises at the frontier of AI adoption. This is not conventional account management. It is part strategist, part operator, part change leader - helping customers turn new AI capabilities into real outcomes. The team you will join is exceptional. Genspark was recently named to the Lenny 100 - Lenny Rachitsky’s list of the 100 companies he would most want to join, selected for talent density, ambitious problems, upside, and active hiring. And you do not have to apply cold: Talk to Jamison, Eduardo, Jason, or Giselle about our customers, the business, and what it is really like to work AI-native. Talk to Tian about the role, compensation, and benefits. Talk to Eric and me about the company, vision, mission, market, and culture. Our customers are moving fast. We are building even faster. Now we are looking for world-class Customer Success leaders who can help our customers win at the same speed. From Measurement to Orchestration, with Pranav Piyush from Paramark.com In this week's Intelligent Marketer ep, Rishabh and I dug into the evolution of marketing measurement in a world where direct, click-based attribution has broken. The smartest marketing teams are building systems that triangulate incrementality testing + MMM results. Pranav discusses how getting this "central brain" right is a critical foundation for AI-driven orchestration & execution of an end-to-end marketing roadmap. Topics covered: - Policies, not dashboards: how to decode decisions as machine-readable rules that turn insights into actions - Confidence-weighted budgets: how to use error bars in lift/MMM results to drive budget reallocation - Latency-aware orchestration: how to incorporate daily platform signals vs weekly incrementality results vs quarterly MMM output - Creative as a portfolio: how to weight hit rate & EV alongside typical ROAS metrics - Constraint-aware bidding: how to bake margin, inventory, compliance, and brand safety costs into the decision function

The hardest companies to build are often the ones the world needs most. Resilience Tech—spanning hardware, software, deep tech, and infrastructure—demands more than just great ideas. The real test isn’t proving the technology works—it’s building it into a company that can scale and last. At B Capital, Karly Wentz and I distilled what we’ve learned into a 10-factor framework for growth investing in this space. It’s how we separate promising pilots from companies that can scale into lasting platforms. Our conviction: the companies that matter most over the next decade will be those that fuse breakthrough science with business fundamentals—and deliver measurable resilience at scale. Big milestone for Firmable. We’ve raised $14m Series A led by Airtree. Sales has moved through a few big waves: intuition-led, CRM-led, data-led. We’re now entering the next one – intelligence-led sales. The opportunity isn’t just better data. It’s turning that data into clear direction and action, without adding more work for sales teams. That’s what we’re building at Firmable: a foundation of trusted external data, layered with intelligence that helps sellers know who to focus on and when. Led by Airtree, this round supports our expansion across Asia and into the US – and accelerates the build-out of AI agents that take the admin work off sales teams so they can focus on what they do best. Proud of the team, grateful to our customers and investors. We’re just getting started.
