Sam Goff shared thisReally exciting one that I wanted to push out to my connections. Fully remote role Sr Project Engineer role for anyone on the East Coast, paying up to $180K before bonus!! This will allow for the right person to get in with a fast-growing IPP with a DEEP pipeline. If you are interested or have any friends who may match the role, please feel free to message me or apply directly to the job. (Not offering sponsorship at this time)

Sam Goff posted thisWith speaking with hiring managers across the solar space, I've noticed the conversation almost always lands in the same place. They don’t want someone with the perfect title. They prioritize someone who’s actually doing the work. What they feel matters most is: • Size and type of projects they've touched • Which phases they truly owned • Whether they've dealt with issues when things didn’t go to plan • How well they can communicate across engineering, construction, and operations The candidates who stand out aren’t the ones with the flashiest resumes. They’re the ones who can clearly explain what they were responsible for and what they learned when projects got messy. Curious how others weigh project depth versus titles when building their teams?

Sam Goff posted thisPutting this out there for my solar community. We had a rare opportunity come across our desk with a long-standing client, and it felt worth sharing. They’re looking for someone who’s genuinely interested in breaking into large-scale solar and wants to join their in-office team. This role gives you a real look at how solar projects and companies are actually run day to day, not just the technical side, but how teams grow, projects move, and decisions get made. It’s the kind of exposure that’s hard to find early in your career. The role does require relocation to Vermont, but for the right person, it could be a great step into the industry. If this sounds like you, or someone you know who’s been trying to get their foot in the door in utility-scale solar, feel free to reach out.

Sam Goff posted thisPutting this out there for the hiring managers in my network. We’re working with an extremely sharp Electrical Engineer who’s open to relocating to most parts of the country. In this market, profiles like this don’t tend to sit around very long. Quick snapshot: ⚡Utility-scale Solar PV & BESS experience across projects from 2MW - 200+MW ⚡Comfortable getting into the weeds with MV design, DC modeling, string sizing, and electrical studies ⚡ Strong across AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ETAP, CYMCAP, SAM, PVSyst ⚡ Regularly supports both engineering and field teams with QA, utility coordination, and fast issue resolution If you could see them jumping into your team, or if you just want to chat, shoot me a message.

Sam Goff posted thisAlright, holidays are over. Back to building Figured I’d kick off the year by sharing two really interesting roles we’re working on. Both are centered around HV transmission up to 500kV and are open to licensed PEs nationwide 🔥Principal Electrical Engineer & Civil Engineer 🔥 Strong projects, long-term work, and real impact on the grid all while working with a well respected EPC If this lines up with your 2026 plans, shoot me a message

Sam Goff posted this📣 CALLING ALL PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS 📣 If you have your PE license (in any state) and solid utility-scale solar experience, we have the role for you!! Sam Goff posted thisDon't come after me, but here’s a bold one: Solar O&M talent is about to become (if not already) the most in demand skillset in the industry Why you ask? Because we’re entering the “maintenance era” of US solar. Tens of gigawatts already built… A lot of it aging faster than expected… And not nearly enough people who know how to service it. Anyone else seeing O&M demand exploding?

Sam Goff liked thisSam Goff liked thisAfter several months of job searching, interviews, and writing more cover letters than I can count, I’m excited to share that I’ve landed a new role here in Rochester with GreenSpark Energy, working on large-scale solar projects. I’m so excited to dive deeper into the solar industry and help get more clean energy onto our grid. I also want to take a moment to thank all the amazing people I’ve had the privilege of working with while running Venture For ClimateTech; founders, mentors, government partners, VCs, my colleagues at NextCorps, and so many others working every day to combat climate change. These past four years have been transformative. To the founders I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to personally: THANK YOU. Not just for the work you’re doing to commercialize critical climate technologies, but for your openness, curiosity, and willingness to engage. Every cohort felt like earning a new master’s degree, learning about complex technologies and what it truly takes to bring them to market. Each of you have given me invaluable skills, perspective, and plenty of laughs that I’ll carry with me moving forward. “The greatest gift that life has to offer is working hard at work worth doing.” Excited to keep doing work that matters and to see where this next chapter leads!!

I volunteered my time to help coach and teach children how to play hockey. The organization, run by the Arizona Coyotes professional hockey team, would donate gear to allow children to get to try playing for free to help expand the great game that is hockey. My role was to help the kids get the right fitting gear and to help them put it on. Then I would teach them the basic skills need to play all while making sure the children had an amazing time while on the ice.

🚨 We're seeing major demand for C&I Solar and BESS developers 🚨 If you're a Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar developer, the market needs you — urgently — especially in these hot spots: 📍 Georgia 📍 New York 📍 Maryland 📍 Pennsylvania 📍 Colorado 📍 California What’s driving this? ✅ Growing corporate decarbonization goals ✅ Favorable state and federal incentives (IRA, anyone?) ✅ Increasing pressure on utilities and grid infrastructure ✅ A sharp rise in REITs, property owners, and businesses looking to monetize rooftops and parking lots But here's the catch: there’s a serious talent bottleneck. Developers who understand how to navigate permitting, incentives, interconnection, and PPA structuring in these regions are in short supply. If you’re a solar developer ready to level up — or a company trying to scale and can't find the right people — let’s connect. The market isn’t slowing down, and the talent gap isn’t going to fill itself. *locations above are for projects, not offices Ben Harris Ben Townsend Steve Rawlingson Samuel Knight Energy #SolarJobs #CleanEnergy #SolarDevelopment #CommercialSolar #Renewables #Hiring #EnergyTransition #Sustainability #CISolar

A new microgrid in California is showing how hydrogen fuel cells and batteries can work together to deliver clean, reliable backup power. Designed to replace diesel generators, the system can power the town for at least 48 hours and fits within a compact footprint that rules out solar or wind. As large-load customers seek alternatives to fossil fuels, hybrid energy solutions like this are gaining attention for their flexibility and lower emissions. What role do you think hydrogen will play in the future of resilient energy systems?

Bridging the Talent Gap: Should Utility-Scale Solar Hire More C&I Professionals? As utility-scale solar rapidly expands, the talent gap is becoming a critical challenge. Meanwhile, the C&I solar sector is full of experienced professionals with skills that align closely with utility-scale needs. What C&I Professionals Bring: - Strong project management under pressure - Experience coordinating with AHJs and utilities - Familiarity with EPC, BOP, and O&M contracts - A hands-on, adaptable, delivery-focused mindset So, What’s Holding Us Back? Despite the overlap, many hiring managers hesitate—often due to perceptions that utility-scale work is too specialized. But a recent poll shows: 80% believe C&I skills are transferable 20% say “maybe—with training” 0% said no The Takeaway: Hiring from the C&I sector isn’t just a workaround—it’s a strategic move. These professionals are ready to contribute and can help close the talent gap in utility-scale solar. Hiring managers—have you hired from the C&I side before? What worked, what didn’t, and what would you do differently next time? Let’s share insights and build a stronger, more agile workforce together. #UtilityScaleSolar #SolarCareers #EnergyJobs #TalentGap #CleanEnergy #IPP #ProjectEngineering #WorkforceDevelopment #hiringmanagers #engineeringmanager #technicalmanager #CEO #sustainability

Highlighting what us happening in the Texas energy market. DER’s are leading the way. More Dutch are certainly getting solar panels, but without the storage. If VPP’s are shaping TX’s power market for the better, think of what it could do for the Dutch market! #DER #VPP #Dutchpower #grudtransformation

Bench Sales is not a numbers game — it’s a trust game. The recruiters who win long-term are the ones vendors never have to double-check. Here’s what vendors remember: ✔️ Clean, verified profiles ✔️ Real availability (not recycled hotlists) ✔️ Accurate location & visa clarity ✔️ Domain-matched submissions ✔️ Honest communication — even when you don’t have a match Here’s what vendors forget immediately: ✘ Random resumes ✘ Fake experience ✘ No alignment ✘ No follow-up ✘ Forced submissions Bench Sales becomes easy when your reputation does the talking. Quality builds trust. Trust builds pipelines. Pipelines build success.

7/7 placements for one client — not luck, repeatable process. Over recent months Fractional Recruiting completed seven permanent P&C placements (avg base ≈ $100K) for a single client. What made it work: referral-first sourcing, deep P&C focus, role clarity + candidate prep, and disciplined process. We’re also introducing targeted AI to cut low-value work and reduce client cost — without losing human judgement. 📊 August 2025 Employment Situation – BLS Update The U.S. labor market held steady in August: * +22,000 jobs added overall, with little change since April * Unemployment rate at 4.3% (7.4M people) * Labor force participation: 62.3% (flat from July, down 0.4 pp YoY) * Healthcare (+31k) and Social Assistance (+16k) drove gains *Offsetting declines in Federal Government (-15k), Manufacturing (-12k, including -15k in transportation equipment due to strikes), and Wholesale Trade (-12k) * Average hourly earnings: $36.53 (+3.7% YoY) * Average workweek: 34.2 hours 📉 Revisions: June adjusted down to -13,000, July revised up to +79,000 (net -21,000 jobs). 🔎 Takeaway: Growth remains uneven — healthcare is a bright spot, while goods-producing industries continue to lag. Wages are rising faster than inflation, helping sustain consumer spending. #rpo #staffing #jobsreport #labormarket #unemploymentrate #recruiting #talentacquisition #retention #talent

When Hiring Freezes… Talent Doesn’t Wait Hiring freezes are common right now. But here’s the catch: 💡 High performers are still exploring 💡 Competitors are still building pipelines 💡 Delays now = missed opportunity later Smart companies are using this time to: ✅ Build bench strength with contractors ✅ Line up talent for Q3/Q4 ✅ Strengthen internal teams before crunch time Waiting to hire doesn’t mean you should stop planning #HiringStrategy #FinanceTalent #RecruitmentPlanning #isgSearch

YES or NO Many candidates are still chasing back for C2C roles like it’s 2020. Reality check: C2C is almost dead. They just don’t know it yet. What I’m seeing across clients: • End clients prefer W2 for control and compliance • MSPs are filtering out multi-layer vendors • C2C resumes rarely reach hiring managers • Rate pressure + delayed feedback = lost time This doesn’t mean you lack skills. It means the market structure has changed. Candidates who adapted early, shifted to direct W2, local presence became mandatory and better representation are the only one still getting interviews. The rest are still waiting on portals for feedback on the resumes for longer work.

Recruitment Owners: Thinking about adding contract staffing in 2026? Before you do, run through this quick checklist. Can you fund weekly payroll while clients pay in 30 to 60 days? Do you know your true gross margins after overtime, benefits, and compliance costs? Can you onboard contractors within 24 to 48 hours without manual bottlenecks? Are you prepared for multi-state tax, workers comp, and classification rules? Do your systems scale beyond quarterly placements? The Contract Staffing Playbook I just read lays this out clearly. It even includes a full readiness checklist that forces you to think through funding, compliance, onboarding speed, and margin math before you make the switch. What I appreciated most is that it does not just talk about growth. It talks about infrastructure. Contract staffing can create durable, recurring revenue. But only if the backend is built for it. If this is part of your growth plan, I dropped the link in the comments. It is worth reviewing before you make the move. I wish I would have had this from the start!

LATEST PJM News - LS Power Strikes deal to buy 4.4GW in PJM from Constellation.... The transaction is the latest in a series of gas-fired power plant sales in the PJM Interconnection market, where growing demand for electricity is cutting into available supply. The portolio includes 5 power plants across both Pennsylvania and Delaware.... Where Constellation and LS Power expect to close the deal, subject to regulatory approvals, late this year. As part of the Constellation announcement, Paul Segal, LS Power CEO, said PJM is at the “epicenter of the surge in electricity demand, and these are exactly the kind of assets the grid needs - efficient, dispatchable gas generation that can deliver reliable power around the clock.” Read the full article below ↘️ ↘️ ↘️ https://lnkd.in/eusX-Eab

US Staffing Market in 2025: Cautious Optimism Amid Shifting Priorities The US hiring landscape is still feeling the aftershocks of 2023-2024. According to recent industry data: -> Temporary staffing continues to see slow recovery, especially in IT and Engineering roles. -> Full-time hiring is gaining traction again, but only for specialized/ niche skills ->Clients are focusing more on supplier performance - vendor rationalization is happening across the board. -> Hiring cycles are longer, with more layers of compliance and approval. -> Remote roles are shrinking - hybrid-first is now the dominant model for most mid-sized and enterprise clients. 💡Insight: The market isn't dead. It's just more selective, performance driven, and cautious. Vendors and partners that can deliver quality, speed and transparency will stay in the game. 📌 Source: Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA), NALP, Bullhorn Reports, Gartner HR Insights #USStaffing #SIAReports #RecruitingTrends #2025Hiring #StaffingInsights #TalentMarketUSA
