Peter Arceo, MBA liked thisPeter Arceo, MBA liked thisI hope everyone is having a great week! I am speaking at the Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention in San Diego, CA on 1 April 2026 from 1130AM to 1200PM at the Tribal Leader's Lounge. Wednesday's session is Modernizing Employee Tipping: Improving Workforce Experience and Operational Efficiency in Tribal Casinos. Pavilion Payments worked hand-in-hand with a tribal operator to develop an employee facing product purposed to automate tips for hospitality workers. Tools like these don't need a sales pitch. Why? Tipster is a simple, powerful app that automates employee tipping ensuring each hospitality worker receives their earned tips, whether pooled or individual, EVERY DAY! No delays. No manual processes. No stress. For a hospitality worker supporting a family, today's tips might cover childcare, a car payment, or the unexpected expense that kept them up last night. Money earned today should be available today; anything less isn't just inefficient, it's inequitable. That belief is exactly why we built Tipster. Our trial operators "overstand" that hospitality workers are the heartbeat of the guest experience and making sure they are paid tips accurately and FAST, is not just an operational improvement, but a statement about the kind of employer they are. Looking forward to showing everyone how this works at IGA 2026! #TribalGaming #HospitalityTech #EmployeeExperience #Fintech #PavilionPayments #Tipster #GamingIndustry #WorkerWellbeing

Maximizing Casino Loyalty Programs - Explained. Every modern casino has a loyalty program designed for their customers, patrons, and especially Casino players. This is sometimes known as the Player's Club, or sometimes as the Rewards Membership, and so on. Basically, it is the player's club card that members of the loyalty program, or player's club, can insert into slot machines to earn bonus points, use at gaming tables to earn bonus points, and increasingly more so to also use them in the casino restaurants and shops to also earn more points. These points are then redeemable for various perks offered by the Casino property. For example, you can get free slot play, or table play, by redeeming your points for a specific amount of slot machine credits, or table gameplay chips. These points can also be used to subsidize meals, to get special offers for the buffet, for example two for one, tickets for shows or events, as well as a number of other opportunities, including paying for hotel rooms or suites, as well as being invited to special events not available to the general public. And if you are a regular Casino visitor, or an avid slot player, or table games player, these points become especially important if you know how to leverage them for additional positive expected value on your chosen games. There are many ways in which you can utilize these additional Casino bonuses for greater enjoyment of your trip, as well as for more value for your gambling dollar. In this article I explore all of these various details and methodologies, and provide you with an easy to remember and easy to perform guide, along with the necessary steps showing you how you can earn the most points, and leverage them for a better Casino resort experience overall. You can check out my article at this link: https://lnkd.in/grpKj9e2 I will have more articles in the series as soon as they become available. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this one 😊 #Casino #Loyalty #Player #Club #Bonus #Points #Membership #Rewards #Gaming #Gambling #Slots #Tablegames

Supporters have raised the need to protect Nevada’s licensed casino sector and tourism economy from erosion by black market operators, particularly as digital wagering platforms continue to expand."

Most land-based casinos in this region approach digital gaming the wrong way. From my discussions and observations of senior resort management, there is often a lack of internal expertise around how digital engagement platforms should be structured and operated. In this interview with GGRAsia, I discuss three structural mistakes many operators continue to make when moving online. First — misunderstanding the opportunity. Up to 80% of visitors to integrated resorts never gamble. They dine, shop, attend events and join loyalty programmes. That database represents a massive engagement opportunity through digital and social gaming ecosystems. Second — organisational misalignment. Too often the online vertical is handed to: • Casino Marketing • Casino Operations • IT Departments • External Vendors None of them are structured to build a performance-driven digital business. Third — the white-label trap. White-label platforms may be the fastest way to launch online. But they come with structural limitations: • Limited control of the platform architecture • Restricted ability to innovate or adapt the product • Ongoing minimum fees and revenue leakage • Vendor-controlled roadmaps In short, the operator rents the technology — and often the strategy. Digital transformation does not happen through rented infrastructure. It happens when operators own their digital architecture, data and engagement layer. The gap between operators that understand this — and those that don’t — will become very clear over the next few years. Another big step in the right direction for our Slot Technology Program here at College of Southern Nevada. We have been approved to receive 7 newer slot machines from Light & Wonder. These machines will be replaced at least every 5 years to help us keep our program up to date, and relevant to the casino industry. We have also purchased a newer Aristocrat Gaming and two Konami machines. We have a fully functional Acres cashless system We are teaching our students legacy (Mikohn) and new (Vertex) progressive controllers. We are working to bring our degree and certification courses on-line in a hybrid form so that the students will have to be in our classrooms for the hands on labs which will include machine troubleshooting, wire splicing, Cat6 cable termination, player tracking installation and troubleshooting, system troubleshooting, and much more. Stop by our Cheyenne Campus and see what we have to offer.

I am grateful to Andrew Cardno (also a very thoughtful human) for this fun and wide-ranging conversation. There are a couple of points I wish I had articulated more clearly: 1. AI tools are a lever. They provide the leverage to improve efficiency, decision-making, and time management. In the video, I referred to this as a "force multiplier." 2. The expectation of perfection. We expect software output to be flawless, yet we tolerate mistakes from humans every day. I am not sure how to rectify this disparity. Consider self-driving cars. Humans cause accidents every day, but we do not pull them from the road. However, if there is a self-driving car accident, the company is often forced to cease operations and review, regardless of how much safer their track record is compared to human drivers. It will be great to look back on this conversation in the future. I look forward to updating my views as technology progresses.

Reno casino CEO John Farahi charts a different course than industry peers on growth With limited growth opportunities, Monarch Casino CEO considers options for another property after successfully expanding to the Denver area. “I think the bar is extremely high. I don’t think management evaluates opportunities in the context of just getting bigger. I think they look for regulatorily stable markets with real growth potential and minimal competitive risks. The fact that in their history they have only done one deal [for Black Hawk] should speak volumes.” - Trusit Securities gaming analyst Barry Jonas #reno #colorado #nevada #gaming #gamingindustry #expansion https://lnkd.in/g6jwi5k5

An excellent piece from Derk J Boss, CFE, CPP, CSP highlighting a problem that is perhaps ignored more than it is misunderstood. Much ink and effort is spilled combating Advantage Players on table games when, generally, there is a lot more money to be made in a lot less time, for a lot less effort, targeting persistent state slots. Maybe this changes in '26?

Casinos often evaluate table games based on house edge alone. But the real driver of table revenue is decisions per hour. Here’s a simple comparison of estimated monthly revenue per table: • Rez Dog — $15,955 • Blackjack — $5,880 • Craps — $5,400 Why the difference? Because game speed matters. Typical decision rates: Rez Dog → ~120 decisions per hour Blackjack → ~70 hands per hour Craps → ~50 decisions per hour Even with a modest 2.77% base house edge, Rez Dog can generate nearly 3× the monthly revenue of traditional table games simply by resolving wagers faster. For casinos, that means: ✓ Higher table productivity ✓ More decisions per shift ✓ More revenue without raising limits #CasinoGaming #TableGames #CasinoMath #GameDesign #RezDog

Spectrum Gaming Group • 2K followers
Contrary to what some media outlets and advocacy organizations have reported, Spectrum Gaming Group has not in any way distanced itself from the conclusions in our 2021 report prepared for the Casino Association of New Jersey. Spectrum stands behind the entirety of its 2021 report, which was specific to Atlantic City. Unlike other recent situations involving voluntary smoking-cessation policies by individual casinos, an imposed smoking ban in Atlantic City would affect an entire jurisdiction – one that competes directly with neighboring Pennsylvania, which allows players to smoke. We found that in this scenario, Atlantic City casinos would experience revenue declines. As presented May 20 in the joint Spectrum-Management Science Associates webinar “The Impact of Smoking Regulations on Casino Gaming,” we acknowledged that, generally, the impacts of smoking bans on casino floors have lessened over time and that certain casinos that have voluntarily gone smokefree have experienced satisfactory results. Spectrum takes no position on whether smoking should be allowed or disallowed on casino floors. That is a decision for state lawmakers and individual casinos where smoking remains an option.

Why Continuous Improvement is Your Edge 🧠📈 In the world of MMA betting, success isn’t static—it’s dynamic. The ability to adapt, evolve, and improve continuously is what separates long-term winners from the rest. Why Continuous Improvement Matters in MMA Betting In betting, as in life, stagnation leads to failure. Fighters evolve, betting markets shift, and strategies that worked yesterday might fail today. By committing to constant growth, you stay ahead of the curve. Here’s how continuous improvement plays a role: ✅ Leverage Your Strengths: If you’re consistently succeeding in specific bet types (e.g., straight bets or live betting), double down on what’s working. ✅ Turn Weaknesses into Strengths: Struggling with parlays or props? Don’t ignore them. Analyze your failures and experiment with simulated bets to sharpen your skills. ✅ Adapt to Change: The betting market and fighters evolve. Flexibility is key to long-term success. My Journey of Improvement 🛠️ In my career, I struggled with prop bets like “fighter to win inside the distance.” These bets drained my bankroll. Instead of avoiding props altogether, I developed a process: 1️⃣ Simulated Bets: I tracked fake bets, analyzing outcomes without risking money. 2️⃣ Data Analysis: Patterns emerged—such as betting on props with overly optimistic odds. 3️⃣ Recalibration: After refining my process, I reintroduced prop bets into my real wagers with smaller stakes, leading to long-term success. The result? I turned a weakness into a reliable part of my betting strategy. How You Can Improve Your Betting Game Today 🚀 Double Down on Strengths Identify what works—straight bets, live betting, or underdog props—and refine your edge in those areas. 🛑 Own Your Weaknesses Write down your struggles, such as specific weight classes, bet types, or odds ranges. Commit to improving these areas systematically. 📊 Simulate and Track For areas where you underperform, stop placing real bets. Instead, track hypothetical bets and analyze patterns. 🧠 Reintroduce Gradually Once your simulated bets show consistent success, start betting real money in small increments. The Lifelong Commitment to Growth Success in MMA betting is a marathon, not a sprint. Embrace the grind and commit to learning every day. Track every bet: Your data is your biggest asset. Stay open-minded: Evolve with the market and fighters. Invest in yourself: The more you analyze, the sharper you become. 💡 Remember: Betting isn’t about perfection—it’s about getting better every day. 💬 Have you found an area in your betting strategy where you’ve improved? Share your journey in the comments! #sportsbetting #bettingtips #mma

Land Casinos vs Cruise Casinos. A Casino Manager’s Perspective Having spent decades managing casino operations across land-based properties, I am often asked how comparable these environments truly are from a leadership and governance perspective. While the core principles of gaming remain constant, the operational, regulatory, and human challenges differ substantially. Strategic Management and Accountability Land-based casinos operate within fixed markets and established regulatory frameworks. Executive leadership focuses on long-term value creation, asset optimization, market share, and sustainable profitability. Decision-making is supported by historical performance, stable customer bases, and predictable operational cycles. Cruise casinos operate within compressed revenue windows and a mobile operating model. Performance is measured voyage by voyage. The casino functions as an integrated profit center within a broader hospitality and maritime organization, requiring alignment with ship command, corporate gaming leadership, finance, and security. Executive accountability is immediate, measurable, and continuous. Governance, Risk, and Compliance On land, governance structures are clear and jurisdictionally defined. Compliance programs focus on audit readiness, AML controls, responsible gaming, and regulator engagement. At sea, governance becomes multi-layered. Cruise casinos must comply simultaneously with flag state requirements, international maritime law, corporate policies, and precise operational boundaries when entering territorial waters. From a board perspective, this demands leaders capable of managing regulatory risk in real time, without external safety nets. Leadership and Human Capital Management Land-based casino workforces are generally local, regulated by labor frameworks, and supported by structured career paths and union environments. Cruise casino teams are multinational, contract-based, and operate in high-intensity, closed environments. Leadership success depends on cultural intelligence, conflict management, morale control, and performance delivery under continuous pressure. From a governance standpoint, people risk is operational risk. Clientele, Product, and Revenue Efficiency Land casinos benefit from loyalty-driven revenue and diversified gaming portfolios. Cruise casinos serve a transient, international clientele. Revenue optimization depends on rapid engagement, precise game mix, and service excellence within limited space and time constraints. Conclusion Land casinos reward stability and long-term optimization. Cruise casinos reward agility, precision, and resilient leadership. Executives who have successfully operated in both environments bring a rare combination of strategic depth, regulatory discipline, and human leadership. At board level, that versatility is not optional. It is a strategic asset. #CasinoManagement #CasinoOperations #CruiseIndustry #Compliance #Gaming #VIP #Luxury #Casino

Over the past few years, we’ve been fortunate to partner with incredible brands, both Nationally and across the Southwest, especially here in Arizona where our roots run six decades deep. This 90-second reel highlights just a fraction of that work: from tourism and attractions, to healthcare, gaming, government, and so many more. Each engagement is different, but all share a common thread: substance over noise, strategy over theater. To our clients, near and far, thank you for the trust. To those we haven’t met yet, we’re just getting started.
