Big moment for us at International Supply Partners, LLC! WSB-TV Channel 2 Atlanta featured us—not once, but twice to discuss tariffs and how they’re impacting supply pricing. In the first segment, they visited our warehouse, where I spoke about the ripple effect of tariff increases and what it means for businesses and communities. The most recent update covers the 90-day pause in the trade war. While that brings temporary relief, it still raises a big question of 'what’s next?' For small businesses like ours that rely on global sourcing to keep shelves stocked and operations smooth, uncertainty is a real challenge. To this effect, we’ve been taking proactive steps to support our clients like sending early stock alerts ahead of potential hikes (which a few clients have already taken advantage of). What does “Great Integration” actually look like in a digital supply chain? This past week, our Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee MS in Global Supply Chain students got a real-world answer from Dan Gordon, SVP of Solution Engineering at Redwood Logistics (a corporate partner supporting the Global Supply Chain Institute at the University of Tennessee). Dan joined my SCM 534 – Tools & Technology in Global Supply Chain Management class to share how leading companies think about: -Integration strategy that scales with the business and creates a competitive advantage -Master data management strategy — not just IT hygiene -Designing ecosystems that connect ERP, SCM apps, and trading partners seamlessly The highlight for students? A real-world use case showing how a company leveraged RedwoodConnect as its integration platform to unify its SCM landscape, ERP, legacy systems, and trading partner network. Less-than-truckload carrier Saia announced Thursday that its LinkEx logistics unit has been rebranded as Saia Logistics. The Johns Creek, Georgia-based company’s logistics business primarily provides non-asset-based truckload and expedited services.
