We remain committed to empowering founders across diverse industries.Ludovic Copéré liked thisKotoba Technologies' speech foundation model Koto has been selected to power the Japanese-language version of Salesforce's Agentforce Voice. Agentforce Voice is the native voice layer of Agentforce — it replaces legacy IVR systems and lets AI agents handle customer conversations autonomously over the phone, as well as across web and mobile channels. It became available in Japan on August 7, and Koto now serves as the speech foundation behind its Japanese conversations. The phone is still where most customer relationships begin. But long hold times and rigid automated menus erode the experience — and in Japan, contact centers are facing a serious labor shortage. Japanese is a particularly demanding language for voice AI. Honorific speech, the idioms of spoken conversation, and meaning that shifts with context all have to be handled correctly. Anything less, and customers hear a machine. Getting it right requires ultra-low-latency, high-accuracy speech recognition and synthesis built on a model that understands how Japanese is actually spoken. Koto is the end-to-end speech AI model we built for exactly this: real-time, ultra-low-latency processing. Alongside speech recognition and synthesis, it supports speech-to-speech translation for simultaneous interpretation, and delivers strong performance across East Asian languages — Japanese, Korean, and Chinese in particular. It also runs on-premises and on-device, so it fits enterprise security requirements rather than working around them. the mass market when analog cable and satellite Pay TV packages first appeared in the 80s.
Today, the generalized move to digital technology, from the production and edition level down to the consumer electronics installed base, has increased the pace of change and has set the
foundation for a vastly more diversified offering.
This Master’s thesis takes a forward-looking view at the major parameters driving the European television ecosystem to its new identity. Using the theoretical frameworks of high-tech strategic
marketing, it analyses the impact of the four digital platforms – Satellite, Cable, Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) and the emerging IP TV in the accessibility to digital television. In
addition to the delivery platform, the transversal parameter of quality has recently got an increased attention with High Definition drawing close to a commercial reality.
This dual approach then enables to paint a strategic picture of the European digital television ecosystem in the five to ten years to come and show the key evolution trends and scenarios for the different economic players involved.

Indeed, if we are to truly harness the potential of what technology can provide, we will have to move beyond the inherent limitations of legacy interaction mechanisms.
Many researches have been done so far, and the main goal of our project is to design an open and extensible framework for high-level interchange that is built on the standards of modern distributed…As the complexity of information and communication systems is always increasing, some profound issues on usability rise. Indeed, if we are to truly harness the potential of what technology can provide, we will have to move beyond the inherent limitations of legacy interaction mechanisms.
Many researches have been done so far, and the main goal of our project is to design an open and extensible framework for high-level interchange that is built on the standards of modern distributed computing and communication standards.
Moreover, to show the feasibility of such an architecture, we have built a sample application, using 2D hand gestures as the input source of data and dynamic graphics as the output action.

Today, ALSO. announced a $150M Series D led by Prysm Capital, with participation from Eclipse and Greenoaks, to accelerate the development of its autonomous vehicle platform. The ambition behind ALSO has always been much bigger than building a great e-bike (now shipping to customers!) The team is creating a vertically integrated platform for intelligent, smaller-than-car electric vehicles that can ultimately span many form factors, move both people and goods, and operate autonomously. The TM-B is the first consumer expression of that platform. The TM-Q extends it into commercial delivery. And now, ALSO is taking the underlying architecture even further into autonomy. Whether a vehicle is driven or autonomous, the fundamental problems are the same: Congestion and cost per trip. Smaller, purpose-built vehicles have the potential to change that equation. Eclipse has believed in this vision and the power of the ecosystem from the beginning. Rivian, ALSO, and Mind Robotics are each tackling different parts of the physical world — vehicles, autonomy, and automation — with the potential to compound what’s possible across the ecosystem.
