Logan Rae posted thisAt this point, I genuinely do not care if this comes off rude. Be competent. Or be willing. I am sick over how many people apply for jobs, negotiate pay, accept responsibilities, and obligate themselves to roles they are either not capable of fulfilling or not willing to actually perform. There is a huge difference between learning, growing, and being honest about where you need support versus walking into a role pretending you have experience you do not have, claiming you know software you cannot use, saying you understand an industry you have barely researched, or negotiating a higher rate based on skills that are not actually there. That does not just “slow things down.” It costs real money. It wastes real time. It damages workflow. It puts pressure on the people who are actually showing up prepared. It creates tension inside teams because now the team is stuck either over-explaining the basics, cleaning up work that should have been done correctly the first time, or constantly managing around someone who oversold themselves from day one. And then somehow, when accountability enters the room, the leadership becomes the villain. The same person who applied for the role, accepted the expectations, insisted they had the experience, confirmed they knew the tools, sometimes even pushed for a higher rate, but overall agreed to the responsibilities suddenly acts blindsided when they are expected to actually do the job. That is not unfair management. That is not “toxic leadership.” That is accountability. I will always respect someone who says, “I do not know this yet, but I am willing to learn.” Willingness can make all the difference. Effort matters. Honesty matters. Taking initiative matters. Asking good questions matters. Following through matters. What does not work is pretending. Pretending to know an industry. Pretending to know a platform. Pretending to be strategic. Pretending to be experienced. Pretending to be ready for a level of responsibility you are not prepared to carry. Because once you are hired, your lack of honesty becomes everyone else’s problem. It becomes the team’s stress. It becomes missed deadlines. It becomes client frustration. It becomes leadership having to choose between protecting the business or continuing to absorb the consequences of someone else’s misrepresentation. Leadership is not bad for expecting employees or contractors to fulfill the role they applied for. If you say you can do the job, do the job. If you cannot do the job, be honest before you take the opportunity, before you make promises, and before other people build plans around your claimed ability. Competence matters. Willingness matters. Integrity matters. And if that sounds harsh, so be it. I would rather be direct than keep watching businesses, teams, budgets, and morale suffer because people are more comfortable overselling themselves than being honest about what they are actually prepared to contribute.

We are looking for someone who knows how to write with strategy, accuracy, and emotional intelligence, especially in industries where language really matters. This role requires direct experience writing for behavioral healthcare, including addiction treatment, mental health, or related clinical services. Experience in general healthcare is a strong bonus, and experience with birth work, midwifery, women’s health, or maternal care is an even bigger plus. This is not an entry-level writing role. We need someone who understands how to balance SEO, brand voice, compliance awareness, readability, and human-centered storytelling. Requirements: • Full-time availability • Hybrid availability • Proven behavioral healthcare copywriting experience • SEO copywriting certifications • Working experience with SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics • Strong understanding of keyword strategy, metadata, page structure, internal linking, and search intent • Ability to write original, researched, brand-aligned content without relying on AI to do the thinking or writing for you We are not looking for someone who simply prompts AI and edits the output. We are looking for a real writer. Someone who can interview, research, think critically, understand nuance, and create copy that sounds human because it is human. This role will support website copy, SEO pages, blogs, Google Business Profile content, social captions, email copy, brand messaging, and client-facing marketing materials. Taylor Glenn we’ve gotten to the point we usually do a working interview and run them through an actual day with us to try to avoid that. Where the biggest issue I see is knowing the name of a software or understanding its intention but then not knowing how to execute the function or how to interpret the data properly.

The medical consequences of using narcotic pain medication for postoperative pain after shoulder arthroplasty are well documented. Alternatives to narcotics have been developed to manage postoperative pain. The purpose of this study was to evaluate length of hospitalization, narcotic use, and visual analog scale (VAS) pain scores of patients undergoing elective shoulder arthroplasty before and after a change in a perioperative multimodal pain medication protocol that included adding liposomal Marcaine (Exparel) and intravenous dexamethasone (Decadron).
