It’s not just a non-profit. Why? Because there are an estimated 40 million people around the world who are trapped in trafficking, and they need us. They need us to come together and say, “no longer is it about the credit, it’s about the mission.” Our heart is to inspire an army of people to say not on our watch.

Lee Bothwell liked thisLee Bothwell liked thisHey there, posse. It's been a wild week this week! I came back from PTO on Monday and my kids started online school today. Between, I got so many great moments with my colleagues. Working together to make a company move ahead and grow isn't easy these days. We're all under a lot of pressure and every dollar is much harder to come by. The uncertainty in the air doesn't help matters. When times get hard, it's often easier to point fingers at the people around you. "Marketing isn't bringing good enough leads.". "The sales team is lazy and can't close.". "The Republicans are making us look like idiots on the world stage." "The Democrats are going to tax us into oblivion to fund the politically correct thought police!" I've seen it. As we move ahead and hopefully toward the end of this crazy period in history, I'm going to make a commitment to question my own tendency to cast blame, and I'm going to encourage everyone around me to do the same. Assuming positive intent isn't always easy to do. All of the misinformation flying around is enough to turn anyone into a cynic. But I challenge you to try. Let's do our best to assume that everyone we meet has a positive intent. Have a great conversation with someone this weekend! Happy Labor Day #sales #informationsecurity

🔷 Reliable Agent Workflows · #9 I've mentioned a couple times the lesson I keep relearning with agents: getting the same result consistently is the real work. One of the simplest things I've found that helps is also one of my favorites. Tests before development. I barely touch it. It's not very exciting and I rarely have to think about it. I've tweaked my orchestration and planning skills over and over. This one I wrote once and have basically never edited. Like housekeeping, I did not expect a skill I spend almost no time on to have this much impact. The idea is simple. Write the failing test first. Then write the code that makes it pass. When the agent has to write the test first, it has to define what success looks like before it writes a single line of implementation. It has to name its target. A specific, deterministic bullseye. It seems to make the agent more accurate. Or at least more directed. Instead of guessing at "done," it has something concrete to aim at. There are some nice side effects too. The tests get built as part of the work, not bolted on as an afterthought. I enjoy watching a session run this way. The agent marks its target in tests first, then writes the code. Goal, then attempt. I ran my own skeptical reviewer on this post, the agent whose job is to poke holes in my claims. It caught me right away. I keep saying "more accurate," and I have no hard numbers to back that up. Just a strong pattern I keep seeing. So I'll ask the community. Is anyone else using tests before development as part of how you build with agents? Does it actually move accuracy for you, or does it just feel good? I would love to hear real experiences, and numbers if you have them. A few things I would tell someone trying it: 🔹 Make the failing test come first. This is critical. If the agent writes code and then tests, you are back to tests that describe what the code does, not what it should do. 🔹 Confirm the test fails for the right reason before writing any code. You want to prove the test can detect the missing behavior before the agent starts implementing it. 🔹 Treat the test as the goal statement. It is the clearest way I have found to tell an agent what "done" actually means. This one costs me almost nothing and pays me back every week. Boring, cheap, and quietly one of the most reliable steps in my setup. Next up: I want to build my own message board where my agents leave each other notes, and I can actually s̶p̶y̶ audit what they say. #AI #GenerativeAI #AgenticAI #LLM #SoftwareEngineering #TDD
