Smiley liked thisAfter 2 decades of working with privately held companies something we’ve noticed is that underperforming companies, relative to their potential, are almost never short on effort. They are short on alignment. Somewhere along the way, the vision got a little blurry. Maybe ownership and leadership stopped having the real conversations. Perhaps the strategy that used to make sense just quietly stopped fitting, and somehow the culture didn’t allow it to be dealt with. That is discord - the opposite of “OneAccord”. It is more common than most leaders want to admit, and I’ve fallen into that trip at various points in my own journey. OneAccord was built around the belief that when you get people genuinely moving in the same direction, toward something they actually believe in, the difference in what becomes possible can be remarkable.

She may not fully understand what I do each day, but she sees the example: showing up with confidence, working hard, leading teams, supporting others, and pushing through challenges. My hope is that as she grows, she sees that women can lead, innovate, and make an impact — while also lifting others up along the way.
