Jeff Knapp reposted thisJeff Knapp reposted this🧱 Brick by brick, the LEGO Group built Nassau Hall for their MINILAND® at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center New Jersey which features historic sites across New York and New Jersey. The U.S. Department of the Interior deemed Nassau Hall a national historic landmark in 1960, signifying its importance in the Revolutionary War and in the history of the United States. Ol' Nassau's neighbors include the Empire State Building, the Statue Of Liberty, and Lucy the Elephant. It took approximately 1.5 million LEGO bricks to complete the entire exhibit. #NationalLEGODay

Jeff Knapp reposted thisJeff Knapp reposted thisPrinceton puts quantum computing on the fast track with a new superconducting qubit. The new qubit design is similar to those already used by leading companies like Google and IBM, and could easily be slotted into existing processors, according to the researchers. Swapping Princeton’s components into Google’s best quantum processor, called Willow, would enable it to work 1,000 times better, Andrew Houck said. The benefits of the Princeton qubit grow exponentially as system size grows, so adding more qubits would bring even greater benefit. https://bit.ly/4bcmeKp

Jeff Knapp liked thisJeff Knapp liked thisIn enterprise HR and payroll, the margin for error is near zero. A hallucinated compensation number or an unverified routing rule has immediate business impact. Earlier this month, Workday officially launched Workday AI Research, sponsored by Gerrit Kazmaier. Alongside the launch, they published two technical studies that challenge the common assumption that simply using larger models or bigger context windows makes enterprise AI more reliable. Here are the key takeaways from the research and what they mean for HRIS architects: • Specialized Multi-Agent Splits: Instead of relying on a single monolithic prompt, dividing tasks between an Innovator agent (exploring options), an Operator agent (validating rules), and a Coordinator agent (managing flow and explainability) achieved 100% policy compliance in testing, outperforming single-agent setups. • Selective Memory vs. Bloated Context: Retaining unfiltered conversational histories degrades accuracy over time. Workday's research on selective memory filtering yielded 12% higher precision by storing structured explicit facts while discarding conversational noise. • Explainability Over Pure Speed: While multi-agent coordination adds processing latency, the resulting step-by-step audit trails provide the transparency HR teams need to verify compliance. • Practical Design Rule: For HRIS teams building automated workflows, separate option generation from deterministic business policy validation. 👉 Read my full technical breakdown on the blog: https://lnkd.in/eRECCHSf How is your team structuring validation and governance for AI workflows in your tenant? #Workday #HRIS #EnterpriseAI #WorkdayAI #HRTech #WorkdayCommunity #EnterpriseArchitecture #AIResearchBeyond Monolithic Models: What Workday AI Research Tells Us About Multi-Agent Workflows and Selective MemoryBeyond Monolithic Models: What Workday AI Research Tells Us About Multi-Agent Workflows and Selective Memory

Jeff Knapp liked thisJeff Knapp liked thisThis is probably one of the more interesting Workday AI updates I’ve seen recently. With 2026R2, the Deployment Agent is becoming tenant aware… So instead of giving you a generic answer, it should potentially be able to look at how your tenant is actually configured and help work out why something isn’t behaving as expected. That feels much more useful to me than just adding another AI chatbot into the mix. Curious what the people actually working in Workday think though - does this genuinely make your life easier, or are you still sceptical?

Jeff Knapp reacted on thisJeff Knapp reacted on thisYour Workday Integration landscape as a knowledge Graph? Maybe eventually a world model. Floating an idea, building a POC. Curious if anyone is already doing this. Agents are good at Workday integration work now. With Studio and Extend MCPs they can write assembly logic, scaffold an app, read a failed event. What they don't have is the institutional knowledge. Ask for a new integration and you get one but that the field it picked might break the next time someone renames an org or when we load mass changes and downstream systems are provisioning access based on a field in WD. So put the estate in a graph. Integrations, reports, fields, config objects and downstream systems as nodes with references bidirectional. Every edge carries how the reference is keys, name or ID. So, the impact analysis is automatic instead of always searching each integration. Start it as agent memory. Over time it becomes a world model of the tenant... What has anyone tried. #Workday #WorkdayIntegrations #AgenticAI #KnowledgeGraph #Worldmodel #Peopletech

Jeff Knapp reacted on thisJeff Knapp reacted on thisI applied for a job today, and then my Product Owner brain took over lol I found a role I was genuinely excited about, completed the application, clicked "Apply"... and received a 500 error. I paused, clicked again, and the error didn't go away. No confirmation page. No confirmation email. No real way to know whether my application was submitted or disappeared into the abyss. So naturally, I started troubleshooting. Was the posting removed? Was it browser-specific? Did the application actually make it through before the error occurred? And then I did something that probably makes perfect sense to anyone who owns a platform: I went looking for someone to tell. I tracked down a recruiter at the company and sent what I knew: where the error occurred, that I was using Microsoft Edge, when it happened, and that I had a screenshot available if their technology team wanted it. Not because I particularly enjoy reporting bugs while job hunting. But because somewhere behind that candidate portal is a team responsible for an experience. And if I owned that experience, I would want someone to tell me. That may actually be one of the clearest ways I can explain how I think about Product Ownership. The transaction matters. But so does everything surrounding it: Did the user know what happened? Did the system fail gracefully? Is there a way to recover? Can someone identify that the experience is broken? And how many other users may be quietly abandoning the process without ever telling us? A candidate portal is still a product experience. And sometimes your best bug reporter is the person who was just trying to apply for the job. Hopefully my application made it through. But if it didn't, I hope at least the defect report did. 😅

Jeff Knapp liked thisJeff Knapp liked thisI spent the last two days building an AI automation to help with my job search. And I’m honestly blown away by what it can do. The workflow searches for jobs, pulls them into a database, uses AI to screen and score them against my background, identifies the ones that are actually worth applying for, and then writes a customized cover letter for each one. On the latest run, it processed 108 jobs. It narrowed those down to 28 that I should seriously consider applying for. And it wrote 28 customized cover letters. Automatically. The whole thing took about five minutes to process. And the ChatGPT API cost? $0.27. Twenty-seven cents. What makes this even more remarkable to me is that I’m not an automation engineer. I watched a 28-minute YouTube tutorial, then used ChatGPT to guide me through building the workflow step by step. From there, I started customizing it. I added additional APIs. Changed the logic. Added new screening and scoring steps. Built out the database. Kept improving it until it was doing what I actually wanted it to do. And I had an absolute blast. At some point it took me right back to my earlier days of coding and building things — that feeling of creating something, testing it, watching it break, fixing it, and then finally seeing the whole system come alive in front of you. Except the tools we have access to now are on another level. I graduated from university in 2000. When I think about the technology we had access to then, compared with what an individual sitting at home with a laptop can build today, the difference is almost difficult to comprehend. And this feels increasingly relevant as I think about my own career transition. I’m becoming fascinated not just by AI itself, but by what happens when you actually put it to work. Taking something repetitive or mundane — something that would normally consume hours of human attention — and building a system that handles much of it for you. Not so we can simply do more work. But so we can spend more of our time on the things that actually require us. Judgment. Relationships. Creativity. Conversation. Making decisions. Helping people. We’ve entered a fundamentally different era. And I feel like I’m only beginning to understand what’s possible.

𝗘-𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝗧𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗨𝗻𝗮𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲: What Employers and Workday Users Need to Know As of October 1, 2025, E-Verify is temporarily unavailable due to a lapse in Department of Homeland Security appropriations and statutory authority. This impacts both employer operations and Workday integrations. Here's a breakdown of what’s paused, what’s still required, and how to navigate this disruption. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗖𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝗗𝗼 𝗪𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗘-𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝗜𝘀 𝗗𝗼𝘄𝗻 Employers Can𝗡𝗢𝗧: - Enroll in E-Verify or create new cases - View, edit, or take action on existing cases - Manage user accounts or reset passwords - Run reports or access account info E-Verify customer support is also closed, meaning: No phone/email, No Self Check and myE-Verify *𝗧𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗛𝗦 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀* - To reduce disruption: 🌟 The “three-day rule” for creating E-Verify cases is 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀. 🌟 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗜-𝟵 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗱 within three business days of the employee’s start date. 🌟 Employees with Social Security Admin 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁 until E-Verify resumes to resolve them. 🌟 Employers may 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲𝘀 due to interim case status. 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗱𝗮𝘆'𝘀 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: 𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗕𝘆𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Workday strongly advises against changing Business Process configurations to bypass the E-Verify integration step. Doing so disables the Retry E-Verify Submission task. 𝗢𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗘-𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲𝘀, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 - Manual / Bulk 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗦𝗵𝘂𝘁𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁: 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆 Once the shutdown ends: - You’ll need to manually run the integration for anyone hired during the lapse. - Build or repurpose a new hire report that filters by hire date range to identify all impacted workers. You can only progress certain cases directly on the E-Verify website: 1. Photo match 2. Duplicate case 3. Data verification 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗜-𝟵'𝘀: Forms I-9 with validation errors (e.g., invalid document number or incorrect SSN) cannot be resubmitted in bulk. Forms I-9 for employees with multiple positions across companies who self-initiate the Complete Form I-9 task (outside Onboarding or Manage Form I-9 Assignment processes) are excluded from mass resubmission. 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 This is a critical moment for HR, compliance, and Workday teams to stay aligned. While E-Verify is paused, Form I-9 compliance remains mandatory. Use this time to review your processes, ensure your Workday domains are properly configured, and prepare for a smooth restart once services resume. #Workday #EVerify #HRCompliance #WorkdayTips #GovernmentShutdown #WorkdayIntegration #EmpoweredbyWorkday
