As these tools start to be used across almost every part of our daily lives, how user data is monetized really matters. But using signals from LLM's doesn’t have to come at the cost of trust. Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) analyses how a brand or product appears inside answers from tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc. Smarter, privacy-safe ways of building audience understanding are emerging by combining GEO, search intent, contextual signals, and zero-party polling research without relying on invasive tracking. James Scruby shared thisI'm excited to see that www.dataland.art/ is coming to LA in Spring! While visiting the Guggenheim in Bilbao, I stepped into Refik Anadol’s 'Living Architecture: Gehry'. It felt like a glimpse into how AI will shape the way we see the world. Anadol trains his AI models on millions of images, sketches, and documents from Frank Gehry’s archive. Not to copy them, but to reinterpret them. Data becomes memory > Memory becomes movement > Movement becomes a kind of digital imagination. The installation shows what happens when data, art, and science collide: - Data as raw material - AI as the interpreter - Creativity as the output - And the viewer as part of the system It made me think about our own world in media: How AI models, trained on massive datasets, are already shaping the stories we’re served, the culture we consume, and the way brands communicate. We’re entering a moment where AI doesn’t just optimise, it influences how we perceive, understand, and experience reality. Thank you Sofia Sanz for introducing me to Refik Anadol's inspiring and innovative work. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to move to the U.S. and build a life here, and I’ll be forever grateful to Michael and Douglas for making that possible. Immigration has been ever-present in my family story, on both sides, across generations. Going through the process reminded me how deeply it fuels innovation, collaboration, and growth for all. In my experience (for whatever that is worth), every idea, team, and industry I’ve worked in has been stronger because of the global mix of talent behind it. And a belated thankyou to the AMPLIFI (🧡) team for a stirring rendition of This Land Is Your Land!

On 4 June, I’ll be voluntarily spending a night in lock up, taking part in UnLtd’s Adland Bail Out to support programs that help break the cycle of youth incarceration. It’s easy to joke about a night behind bars, but the reality for a lot of young people is very different — and often preventable with the right support early on. It’s a small gesture on my end, but the impact of these programs can be anything but. I need to raise $1,500 to make bail the next morning. If you can chip in, I’d hugely appreciate it. If I’ve supported your marathon, bike ride, fun run or school fundraiser at some point along the way, consider this me calling in a marker. All donations are tax deductible. Whilst serving on the committee I hosted events raising awareness, secured over $50,000 of charitable donations from Financial institutions and generated over $1 million of pro-bono outdoor media space. It is incredibly rewarding to have contributed to slowing the plight of Orangutans in Borneo and Sumatra and improved the lives of these majestic creatures. I have been inspired by the generous people at the AOP who are dedicated this urgent cause.
