David Shapiro shared thisCongrats to Zach Oldham, Leo Martinez and the entire team at Gravity!David Shapiro shared thisOver the past year of building Gravity, we’ve had consumer AI applications grow revenue by up to 14,722%, helped teams go from idea to raising a Series A, and most importantly, we’ve given 14.3m people free access to AI products. All by creating an Ad Network for brands to place advertisements inside of AI conversations. We’ve raised $38m in total funding, with Lightspeed and Committed Capital co-leading the Series A and Caffeinated Capital leading our Seed round with participation from Basis Set, Haystack, Logos Fund, Grant Gordon and more. We’re also fortunate for the support of our incredible angels, including Parker Harris, Alex Atallah, Scott Belsky, Guillermo Rauch, Ian Crosby, Nicholas Marwell and Sholto Douglas, Josh Silverman, Zach Epstein, and many others. Our mission is simple: Make AI free by embedding helpful and relevant advertisements into AI products so that everyone has access to frontier technology.

David Shapiro shared thisToday is an exciting day! Affiliate.com is thrilled to be a launch partner with Exa Connect, Exa's Agent API ecosystem. Affiliate.com's massive commerce dataset is now available as a native commerce data source within Exa Connect. Developers building on Exa can now connect directly to Affiliate.com and give their agents access to over a billion normalized product offers, along with updated pricing and commerce metadata through a single integration. The opportunity here extends to: • Product search, discovery, and comparison across merchants • Powering shopping assistants, product recommendations, and buying guides • Creating curated commerce content and monetized shopping experiences Exa has built one of the most compelling search platforms for AI agents, powering web search, research, and retrieval for agentic applications. Affiliate.com provides the commerce layer that helps agents understand products, merchants, offers, and purchasing options, while seamlessly providing commerce monetization solutions. Together, we're helping developers build agents that don't just find information—they can help users make purchasing decisions and take action. Huge thanks to the Exa team for the partnership. David Shapiro reposted thisDavid Shapiro reposted thisOne thing that becomes very obvious when working with commerce data at scale: A single GTIN or UPC can connect the same product across merchants, marketplaces, affiliate networks, inventory systems, pricing feeds, and increasingly AI-driven commerce experiences. At Affiliate.com, product identifiers are a core part of how commerce data gets normalized and connected across a fragmented ecosystem of merchants and datasets into a highly useful commerce graph. Without shared identifiers, the ecosystem fragments quickly: • duplicate listings • inconsistent titles • mismatched offers • unreliable comparisons • poor recommendations That becomes even more important in AI commerce. If an AI system is comparing offers, identifying alternatives, evaluating merchant options, or helping consumers discover products, it first needs confidence that all of the underlying data points refer to the same product in a clean, normalized way. That is one of the key reasons our publisher partners use Affiliate.com.

David Shapiro reposted thisDavid Shapiro reposted thisAI shopping compresses the buyer journey. By the time a shopper clicks from an AI-powered experience, they may have already resolved the category, budget, features, alternatives, and buying criteria through conversation. For merchants, publishers, and commerce platforms, the question becomes less about getting more traffic and more about being present when high-intent product decisions are made. That requires well structured product data, real-time pricing, availability, product matching, merchant coverage, and monetization infrastructure. That is the layer Affiliate.com offers. AI commerce is not just about recommendations. It is about making sure the right products can be discovered, compared, trusted, and purchased when intent is highest.

David Shapiro reposted thisDavid Shapiro reposted thisA strong use case for the Affiliate.com Enterprise MCP is helping AI systems turn messy human intent into structured commerce queries. A user does not usually ask for products in clean filters and facets. They say things like: "I need a comfortable office chair for back pain, under $400, preferably from Wayfair, but I'm open to other stores if there is a better option." Behind that request are a lot of structured requirements: Category: office chairs Use case: back support Budget: under $400 Preferred merchant: Wayfair Alternative merchants: allowed Product attributes: ergonomic, lumbar support, adjustable Sort logic: relevance, price, availability Output: product names, prices, merchants, monetized URLs The AI can understand the request, but it still needs Affiliate.com's normalized data and thousands of merchants to know which filters, facets, identifiers, and product attributes to use. That's one of the places where our Enterprise MCP becomes useful. It gives AI applications a structured way to construct better commerce requests instead of guessing, scraping, or returning generic recommendations from only dated LLM data. In AI commerce, the prompt is only the beginning. The real value comes from turning intent into an executable query.

David Shapiro liked thisDavid Shapiro liked thisFor more than four decades, Press Ganey has earned the trust of healthcare organizations by helping improve the experiences of patients, members, caregivers, physicians, and employees. We've built industry-leading technology, data, and analytics, but I've always believed our greatest asset has never been our products—it has been our people. I have had the privilege of working alongside some of the brightest, most mission-driven professionals in healthcare and technology. Clinicians, data scientists, engineers, product leaders, client success teams, consultants, researchers, and operational experts—all united by a genuine desire to help our clients deliver safer, better, and more human care. Their expertise, passion, and commitment are what made Press Ganey exceptional. Serving as President and COO has been an honor. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to help grow this company, work alongside extraordinary teammates, and partner with thousands of healthcare organizations that trusted us to support some of their most important priorities. Those relationships and experiences have shaped me in ways I will always carry forward. As I look ahead, I couldn't be more optimistic. The combination of Press Ganey and Qualtrics brings together something incredibly powerful: unmatched healthcare expertise, the world's leading experience management capabilities, and a bold vision for how AI can help organizations move from insight to action faster than ever before. Jason Maynard, Qualtrics CEO, has spoken about creating the next generation of experience management—one where AI doesn't simply analyze experiences but helps organizations understand them more deeply, act with greater confidence, and create meaningful outcomes. I believe that vision is exactly right, and I have tremendous confidence in the outstanding leadership team that will bring it to life. After much reflection, I've decided to use this transition as an opportunity for my own next chapter. I will be leaving the combined organization on August 31st. This decision is filled entirely with gratitude. I'm proud of everything we've built together, thankful to everyone who has been part of this incredible journey, and genuinely excited for what lies ahead. To every colleague, client, partner, and friend—thank you.

David Shapiro liked thisDavid Shapiro liked thisThe first time I met Dolly Parton was in 1993. We had her as a guest on The Joan Rivers show. She arrived solo. No publicist, no agent, no manager. Just Dolly. I was in her dressing room briefing her on the topics we wanted to discuss on-air. She was sweet, funny, sharp and then, unexpectedly honest. She said, "Barry, can I ask you for a favor?" "Sure!" She continued, "I know there are press photographers out there, and I know they know about my secret. Not everybody knows...but they always got a way of findin' out." I didn't understand what he was talking about. "I had a little work done on my face and I've got this here scar underneath my chin. They all want to be the first to get a picture of my scar. Can you protect me?" - ME? Protect Dolly? Well, we came up with an idea to foil the paparazzi's plan. We only allowed them on to the stage to photograph her while she was seated. And when some of the guys got down on their knees trying to shoot from a low angle, Dolly just kept her chin perfectly positioned. About 2 weeks later, I received a hand-written note from Dolly, thanking me for looking out for her. She was the only celebrity who ever wrote a thank you note to me. Until 30 years later, when I got one from Reba Mcentire. Country stars are the real deal. We'll all miss you, Dolly.

If you have scanned a QR code for information about garbage collection in NYC, or to find your courtroom in DC, or to complain about a messy bathroom in a San Diego office building - you might have scanned one of our Autonix codes and not even realized it! There are many, many QR code solutions on the market, but what differentiates Autonix is our focus on operational use cases to deliver impactful, organized, actionable data to the people who care about it most. Today, we're excited to announce a slew of updates that we hope you'll try... starting with: 1. A revised "Free Forever" account, complete with demo data so you can fully grasp what we have built and how it might apply to you. 2. An expansion of our "proof" features, including the ability to require precise location on any tracker type and the ability to attach up to 10 photos to any check-in. 3. An expansion of the Autonix API for more raw use cases (ie. direct mail and CRM integrations), as well as improved documentation, an MCP and SKILL.md instructions 4. More free tools! (Browser extension as well as generators for QR Code, WiFi, VCard) If you have some time or a use case... give it a try, or share with someone that might benefit. David Shapiro liked thisDavid Shapiro liked this15x-ing a company doesn't happen by mistake. It takes crazy, passionate, competitive people working together with a common dream and having fun doing it. That's what we've built at Stay22. I came back a day early from vacation last week to organize our first internal beach volleyball tournament. Six teams, 30 players, out on the sand at Jeanne-Mance Park on a Friday afternoon. And yes, my team (the Net Assassins) took home the win (shoutout to Melina Mehrmam, Justin Tran, Nicole Svoboda & Nooralmustafa Abbas). 😎 But that's not the point. The point is we work with some incredible people. People who know how to compete, let loose, and connect beyond spreadsheets and boardrooms. It all started three years ago when I suggested we join Techaide, a charity tournament organized by Centraide du Grand Montréal to help underserved communities access technology. We had 12 people on that first team. Yesterday, we played in our third TechAide tournament. Four teams. $4,000 raised for the cause. What started as a random idea has become a core part of our culture. Caring about each other, competing together, picking each other up after a dropped pass, cheering each other on — that's what going to work is really all about. Oh, and we're hiring, including on my Supply team. If this sounds like your kind of place, check out our open roles: https://lnkd.in/gPVMzyPq Can't wait to run it back next year. 🎩

David Shapiro liked thisDavid Shapiro liked thisSo proud to share another major step forward as we prepare to relaunch World Team Tennis this December. Today, we are officially unveiling three WTT clubs — and the first players who will represent them: 🦩 Florida Flamingos Racquet Club — Tommy Paul 🗽 New York Empire Racquet Club — Jessica Pegula 🫎 Toronto North Racquet Club — Denis Shapovalov One of the things that excites me most about what we’re building is the opportunity to give professional tennis players something they rarely get to experience: a true home court advantage. A home arena. A home crowd that’s there specifically to support you and your teammates. A club and identity that you represent — and that represents the community around you. I'm reminded of the full body elation and kinship I felt as a child and now as an adult, rooting for every Boston Celtic with all my might -- taking their wins and losses right in the gut as my own. That’s a pretty unique proposition in an individual sport like tennis. It’s also why we’ve put so much thought into building clubs that stand for more than what happens on the court. Each identity reflects its city, its history and its culture, with the goal of creating something players are proud to represent and fans genuinely want to be part of. I couldn’t be more excited to see how these teams, cities and players come together to create something that's about more than just tennis. And we’re just getting started. See you in December. 🎾 #WorldTeamTennis #WTT #Tennis

David Shapiro liked thisDavid Shapiro liked thisSome news worth celebrating today: intismeran, an mRNA cancer vaccine developed by Moderna and Merck, is reported to have positive Phase 3 clinical trial results. When this data is released, it promises to open up the door to a new wave of therapeutic treatments for cancers. The technology, which has been worked on for nearly two decades, works by creating individualized vaccines based on the unique genetic signature of each patient's tumor. The process to build a personalized vaccine takes about six weeks in totality, which is already down from 8 weeks when the program started. We are witnessing more evidence of the shift towards personalized medicines, which precisely underscores the thesis that drives DeepIntent. Drugs that are custom built for each patient must be commercialized differently. Our mission remains laser focused on lowering the barrier to successfully commercialize therapies like this, helping to unlock the power of personalized medicine at scale. Getting these miracle therapies into the hands of patients and doctors who need them is a marathon run by a city of people, who largely work behind the scenes. Today is a step forward. https://lnkd.in/gJ5rdvdQA New mRNA Vaccine Could Prevent Skin Cancer From ReturningA New mRNA Vaccine Could Prevent Skin Cancer From Returning

Reclaiming the "discovery loop" is the next big battleground for premium streamers and sports rights holders. In my recent sit-down with Brandon Costa at Sports Video Group (SVG), we discussed why industry leaders are moving the verticalized swipe experience inside their own apps. As we’ve known for a while, verticalized shorts are not a trend; they are a strategic move to reclaim the discovery loop and drive long-form retention. This is exactly what we’re seeing with the recent news of Disney+ ESPN’s Verts launch. By rolling out a dedicated vertical feed, they are meeting Gen Z and Gen Alpha where they already live. As I discussed with Brandon, here are the operational keys to making this work: ➡️ Bridge the Retention Gap: Short-form is the new "front door." By bringing vertical feeds directly into the O&O environment, broadcasters keep fans within their own ecosystem, using snackable discovery to lead them back to the live game. ➡️ The 60-Second Rule: In a real-time world, velocity is a moat. We’ve leveraged Generative AI and LLM-driven orchestration to shrink the window from "live signal" to "vertical asset" to under 60 seconds. ➡️ Architect for Agility: Don’t get locked into a static AI stack. A Model-Agnostic Orchestration Layer allows you to swap in best-of-breed AI tools as they evolve, ensuring your library remains "liquid" and future-proof. The future of streaming belongs to those who use AI to make the 6-inch screen the ultimate engine for discovery and monetization. #StreamingMedia #AIOrchestration #GenerativeAI

Everyone assumes content distribution is automated. It’s not. If you work across #TVOD, #FAST, #AVOD, or #SVOD and haven’t seen how avails are actually distributed, you’d be shocked at how manual the process still is. Excel files flying back and forth. Partner templates. Constant updates. Human error everywhere. Matthew Carter and Vincent Muscarella break down why this legacy workflow slows licensing and delays revenue for the entertainment industry. The industry deserves better. #Helix #WhipMedia

Curation is king, even at a platform level it seems! Interesting to see this news today. As IFE moves to more branded channels and an ever-expanding supplier base is this the future of IFE and CSPs? It's certainly useful to have a centralized provider that manages the overall experience. Pulling out the top new releases to the home page, managing centralised advertising, consistant branding, images & metadata, bringing in new and regional suppliers, games etc etc. Dare I say some origional and exclsuive content too - lets start with 'Howdy'!

This may be the defining consolidation move of the streaming era: the world’s largest stand-alone subscription video platform agreeing to acquire one of Hollywood’s last major independent studios and its flagship premium network—if regulators and shareholders ultimately allow it. In our latest coverage on Subscription Insider, I unpack what the Netflix–Warner Bros. deal could mean for: • pricing, bundles, and ARPU • licensing leverage and telco/CTV negotiations • regulatory risk for every large recurring-revenue platform If you run a subscription business, this isn’t just “streaming news.” It’s a signal about where platform power is heading next. Netflix with partners will own it obviously [Warner] and Paramount will be eventually sold in bits as they are not a viable stand alone business even if they acquired Warner. Nobody needs another streamer, theatrical releases make no money and they have a zero realistic business plan. The beauty of Netflix is they do not care about owning anything as their business model is subscription so they will not mind partnering / sharing with Amazon Prime or Disney for that matter.
