The timing is especially meaningful. This month marks three years since David DeWolf, Mohan Rao, Peter Buer, and I first came together to dream up what Knownwell could become. Did we know exactly where the journey would take us? Not even close. But we believed deeply that AI would fundamentally change the way businesses operate, and that, applied thoughtfully, it could elevate the dignity of human work rather than diminish it. Over the past three years, I couldn’t be prouder of the people who have built Knownwell. Dave Yankowiak liked thisDave Yankowiak liked thisOver the past few years I’ve had the privilege of working inside some incredible founder-led organizations, helping translate big vision into operational reality. Recently I took a little time to step back and get clear on what I want to focus on next. Two things rose to the top. First, I’m opening my books for a small number of Founder Continuity engagements. I work with founders and leadership teams to identify where decision-making and ownership are structurally breaking down as a company grows — and redesign the systems so teams can execute without everything routing through one person. Second, I’m pursuing a long-time dream of bringing an invention I created to life. It’s called LocWringer — a tool designed to dramatically reduce wash-day drying time for people with locs by extracting water directly from the hair structure. The prototype is in the works, and now the focus is moving toward manufacturing and early product launch. So this week and next, I’m reaching out to my network with one offer and one ask. Dave Yankowiak liked thisDave Yankowiak liked thisAn unexpected tax bill ate through our 4 months of savings. . . 1 MONTH AFTER I STARTED WORKING FOR MYSELF!! I had a clear plan for how I was going to get the pipeline going. 90 days of networking At least 4 meetings every working day I knew something would land at some point. I also had a wife, 4 little kids, groceries, utilities and a mortgage to cover. But this prayer I learned to pray in that season has stayed with me to this day. And God SO honored my clumsy efforts. “Blessed are You, Lord God, King of the Universe, who makes bread come from the dirt.” I knew if he could make bread come from the dirt, he could make clients come from nowhere. I didn’t know if he would. But in his kindness, he did. And he does. He cares about me and my wife and kids, and groceries and mortgage and utilities more than I do. As you lean into him, may he show you the kindness he’s shown me.

What started as a Content Executive Assistant role 8 years ago, evolved into a front-row seat to so much incredible transformation at scale—with podcasts, a few thousand coaching clients, and a few million planner users to boot. I got the chance to grow as a leader in too many ways to count. Ops, community building, project management, corporate training, client support, inventory management… even the occasional calendar machete, sometimes all before lunch!
