Today we're announcing Innovative Dreams — a filmmaker-led production services company founded by Jon Erwin and built within Wonder Project to bring next-generation filmmaking to the industry and support Los Angeles production. More stories told. More filmmakers empowered. More jobs back in Hollywood. I've spent over two decades watching technology transform storytelling. At Netflix, it was removing appointment-based viewing and offering subscribers the chance to watch anytime, anywhere, on any device. At YouTube, it was removing the gatekeeper and empowering the rise of the creator economy. What's happening right now in production — the convergence of performance capture, virtual production, and generative AI — is the next big shift. I think of it like my kids’ three-in-one LEGO sets—you take the build apart and rebuild it in a completely different way. It’s about reworking the traditional production process into a new engine, giving filmmakers and artists unprecedented creative control during production. We're calling it Realtime Hybrid Filmmaking. It lets filmmakers build worlds at a scale that was previously out of reach for most filmmakers, while at all times keeping human performance at the center. This allows more stories to move into production, brings filmmaking back to Los Angeles, and expands opportunities for the artists and crews who power the industry. And our method is not theoretical, it’s already in practice. Our upcoming three-part companion special, The Old Stories: Moses, is to our knowledge, the first final-pixel, generative AI-enabled production workflow applied at scale in any studio. This is what it looks like when a studio bets on what's next.

  • Congratulations to Naya Desir-Johnson on winning the NAACP Image Award for Best Performance by a Youth in a Motion Picture for her role in Sarah’s Oil. Her performance captured the strength, faith, and resilience at the heart of this story. It’s inspiring to see young talent recognized on such an important stage. Wonder Project is proud to bring to life courageous stories like Sarah Rector's for our audiences.

  • In partnership with TriStar Pictures, everyone at Wonder Project is so excited to debut the trailer for “The Breadwinner,” a family comedy starring Nate Bargatze in his feature film debut. The film follows the misadventures of Nate Wilcox, whose wife Katie (Mandy Moore) lands a once-in-a-lifetime deal on “Shark Tank” that takes her on a prolonged business trip - and now the lifelong breadwinner has to fend for his family as a first-time stay-at-home dad. With three young daughters and little experience handling their day-to-day needs, Nate finds out quickly that running the household is the toughest gig he’s ever had. "It's a throwback to the classic family comedy movies that we all love," Bargatze told @people. "I think there is a lack of entertainment that is made for entire families. There are so few movies where everyone of all ages can have a good laugh. So I decided to create one myself." The cast also features Colin Jost, Zach Cherry, Martin Herlihy, Kate Berlant, Kumail Nanjiani and Will Forte. Directed by Eric Appel, “The Breadwinner” is co-written by Bargatze and Dan Lagana. @jeremylatcham produces for Wonder Project along with Bargatze and Lagana. JoAnn Perritano, @Michael Musgrave and Tyler Zacharia are executive producers. “The Breadwinner” is in theaters March 13. https://lnkd.in/eB3vZb9u

It's here. Wonder Project is LIVE on Prime Video! As a mother, I want to raise children who practice that which is true, good, and beautiful. Who seek what is noble and pure. Who know what's worth believing in. But in a world of endless content, finding stories that form their hearts rather than just fill their time feels impossible. We're here “for such a time as this” — when screens often divide us, when communities crave connection, when parents need a trusted partner in shaping their children's hearts. Starting today, when your friends and family ask "what should we watch?"—Wonder is there. Not just entertaining, but forming. Not just passing time, but building character. Stories that help us raise our next generation. This is day one. And I believe we were built for this moment. Let's do this together. #WonderProject #HouseOfDavid #PrimeVideo #ForSuchATimeAsThis https://lnkd.in/gn3qE6H8
