(Vero Networks) has announced the successful closing of a $500 million strategic growth investment led by funds managed by Hamilton Lane, Braemont Capital, and Delta-v Capital. This investment marks a significant step forward in accelerating the expansion of our fiber-to-the-premise and wholesale fiber networks, supporting new builds to homes, schools, data centers, cell towers, and businesses across the United States, while continuing to pursue strategic M&A opportunities in both new and existing markets. Last week, Vero Fiber was honored to participate in a ribbon cutting with the Anson Chamber of Commerce to formally recognize our membership and mark a key milestone: surpassing 100 live customers connected to our high-speed fiber network in Anson, Texas. This achievement reflects Vero Fiber’s continued expansion across Texas and our commitment to building scalable, future-ready broadband infrastructure in growing and underserved markets. As we increase our presence throughout the state, milestones like this demonstrate meaningful progress in delivering reliable fiber connectivity to more communities. We appreciate the partnership of City of Anson, Texas and the support of local stakeholders as we continue advancing fiber expansion initiatives across Texas.

We’re proud to partner with the City of Ukiah on the Ukiah Gigabit Fiber Project, marking a major milestone toward expanding high-speed internet access and closing the digital divide across the community. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Assemblymember Damon Connolly; representatives from Senator Mike McGuire’s office and Assemblymember Jim Wood's office; Ukiah City Councilmember Juan Orozco; Mendocino County Supervisor Maureen Mulheren; and representatives from multiple local agencies. Funded by a $5.58 million California Public Utilities Commission Last Mile grant with remaining costs covered by Vero, the project will build approximately 23 miles of new fiber infrastructure. This enables connection for an estimated 1,700 locations and offers service to 375 locations that are currently unserved. “This groundbreaking marks the beginning of a project the City of Ukiah has pursued for many years,” said City Councilmember Juan Orozco. “This is not just a construction project; it is an investment in digital equity, economic opportunity, and Ukiah’s future. Vero is so proud to be part of this esteemed group working to bridge the digital divide!

When the Pond Fire began earlier this month, it deeply impacted our neighbors in Mendocino County and damaged critical infrastructure that led to our services being down. We appreciate our customers trust in Vero and we strived to honor that while building connections with essential respondents. Thanks to our wonderful community, over $1,200 of the $6,200 donated to Food for People, Inc. came directly from customers in Eureka who chose to donate a month. Finally, we want to extend a huge thank you to Food for People for everything they do to eliminate hunger in Humboldt County while quickly responding to natural disasters like this one. For reference, Food for People serves 21,000 people a month all over Humboldt County, which is 15% of the population.
