Throughout his time here, he has demonstrated exceptional dedication, skill, and a deep commitment to compassionate patient care. He has a particular interest in the dynamic, team-based environment of critical care and is looking forward to building on his skills in a highly collaborative academic setting. Before entering healthcare, Aaron worked as an archaeologist, bringing a unique perspective, curiosity, and problem-solving mindset to his clinical work. We’re excited to welcome Vladimir Stranjanac, MD to the Iowa Health Care Department of Anesthesia as a Clinical Assistant Professor! 🎉 Originally from Serbia, Dr. Stranjanac is a pediatric anesthesiologist with a strong international background in anesthesiology and critical care. He previously served at the University Children’s Hospital in Belgrade, where he worked as an anesthesiologist, resident physician, and ICU physician, gaining broad experience in caring for complex pediatric patients. Dr. Stranjanac was drawn to Iowa’s collaborative and highly regarded clinical environment and is excited to contribute to pediatric patient care, education, and ongoing innovation within the department. He looks forward to working closely with faculty, trainees, and care teams to support clinical excellence and continued learning.
