After our #PhysicalAI webinar with NVIDIA, SICK Sensor Intelligence and Inbolt, we received a range of questions from manufacturers on what deploying the technology really means for their operations. Five of those questions were put directly to Anders Billesø Beck, VP AI Robotics Products. ▶️ Watch to hear how to tackle safety in Physical AI 👉 Read the full article: http://urrobots.com/j36
About us
At Universal Robots, part of Teradyne Inc., we are empowering change in the way work is done. Our vision is to create a world where people work with robots, not like robots. And with 100,000+ cobots already installed worldwide, we’re well on the way to achieving it. We employ 1000+ people in offices across North America, South America, Europe and Asia.

At #NVIDIAGTC, one of our partner demos stood out for a simple reason: they showed what robotic foundation models can do outside the lab 🦾 In the first public demonstration of Generalist's embodied foundation models, two UR7e robots autonomously executed a complex smartphone packaging task, showcasing dexterity, coordination, and contact‑rich manipulation in a real‑world environment. “This demonstration on Universal Robots’ trusted industrial platform shows how physical commonsense can be translated into real-world capability, paving the way for deployment across industries at scale," said Generalist co-founder and CEO Pete Florence. Amazing demonstrations happening this week at GTC. Thanks Jake Hall for the great coverage of the show.
𝟑𝟎 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝟑 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬 from NVIDIA 𝐆𝐓𝐂 featuring 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐢𝐝𝐬, 𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐈, 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, and much more! If you couldn't make it to San Jose. 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐕𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐎 𝐈𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐘𝐎𝐔!!! I condensed the expo floor with demos and technology & put it together in one video for you to watch how robots are leveraging new solutions. 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: 📝 I want to iterate that a lot of these demos are running on models and 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐞-𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠. This expo isn't focused on showing how fast a robot can run; it's how it's working in new & flexible environments. 📝 Dual "cobot arms" were in more abundance than #humanoids. Why does this matter? It's a great example that AI can be deployed just as effectively in existing robotics by manufacturers who have been around for 50 years. 📝 NVIDIA Robotics got some upgrades released during Jensen Huang's keynote with 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐦𝐨𝐬 𝟑, bringing together synthetic world generation, Physical AI, and simulation together. 📝 𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐚𝐜 𝐆𝐑𝟎𝟎𝐓 𝐍𝟏.𝟕 arrived with VLA for humanoids. In short you can say, "Robot, pick up the red parts bin and set it on the work table. Looking forward to seeing the next round of humanoids at the Automate Show for the Humanoid Robot Pavilion! Experience the bridge between simulation and reality at NVIDIA GTC 2026! 🦾 Attendees at our GTC booth get hands-on with our simulated setup, guiding a virtual bimanual UR3e system through a smartphone packaging workflow using Haply Robotics Inverse3 devices as “leaders." What does this demo showcase? ✅ Real-time Haptic Feedback: Attendees feel the interaction as they guide a virtual robot through a complex smartphone packaging task. ✅ Physics-accurate simulation: Built in NVIDIA Omniverse and leveraging Isaac Sim, this digital twin provides a high-fidelity environment for generating synthetic training data. ✅ Seamless Sim-to-Real: Capturing demonstration data in a virtual environment accelerates the development of robust Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models for industrial use. #UniversalRobots #Haply #NVIDIAOmniverse #GTC2026 #SimToReal #PhysicalAI #Robotics

Today at NVIDIA GTC 2026, we unveiled the UR AI Trainer, our new imitation learning platform developed in partnership with Scale AI — the industry’s first direct solution for collecting synchronized robot and vision data from the same industrial robots used in production. Leveraging our Direct Torque Control and force feedback, the platform captures the contact‑rich demonstrations needed to train emerging Vision-Language-Action models, accelerating how complex assembly, handling or packaging tasks can be taught and deployed. Experience the platform first-hand at GTC: Join us as we bridge the gap between research and the factory floor 🏭 Want to learn more? The International Federation of Robotics has named Regional Marketing Manager Christina Jørgensen among its Women in Robotics 2026. Since joining the robotics industry in 2018, Christina has worked across the Nordics, UK and Eastern Europe, helping manufacturers engage with automation in ways that make it easier to understand and implement. Christina said: “I believe robotics should not be an exclusive domain reserved for specialists. It should be approachable and accessible – something that empowers people rather than intimidates them. I'm inspired by real stories of robots helping individuals: easing physical strain, enabling career transitions into higher-skilled roles and supporting workplaces in ways that truly matter.” Her recognition is a reminder of the important role diverse backgrounds and perspectives play in shaping the future of automation. 🎥 Hear from Christina 👉 Read the IRF release https://lnkd.in/dqVvGaUF

We’re taking decisive action to protect innovation and consumer interests. Today, Teradyne Robotics announced that it is taking legal action in the German courts against Elite Robots for copyright infringement of Universal Robots’ software. This case is about more than intellectual property rights - it’s about protecting the integrity of automation and ensuring customers have access to original and proven solutions. Our message is clear: innovation matters, quality automation matters and we will defend both. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/d4YsXS3u
