  • Times Media Group was honored to be on hand for the grand opening of Blue Corn Cafe & Bakery in Downtown Mesa this morning! Owner Chris Thompson, franchisor and chef Nick, Mesa Councilmember Jenn Duff, Miss Mesa 2026 Helen Dang, and Miss Mesa’s Teen Ivy Tao joined dignitaries, fans and neighbors to welcome this delicious new business to the vibrant culinary scene in Downtown Mesa. Guests enjoyed samples of Blue Corn’s award-winning sourdough bread — with a starter that is more than 100 years old! — plus muffins, cookies and coffee drinks.
