Atlanta's parks were ranked 49th when Mayor Andre Dickens took office. They're now 18th and climbing. That didn't happen by accident. It happened because of leaders who believe in the importance of making public space welcoming. We're proud to have deployed 10 Thrones across Atlanta city parks and the Beltline over the past two weeks and be working with such a mission-aligned partner. In Mayor Dickens' own words: "Even something as simple as a restroom can really help redefine how we move Atlanta forward." At Throne Labs, we look for partners who understand that better restrooms aren't just an amenity. They're what transforms a public space into a place where people feel comfortable and can stay longer, building community. Well, this story stank... Maybe just literally, but it's always nice to circle back to an issue that matters to the community and evaluate how it's progressed. The lack of public restrooms in DC has been an issue for years, so the city's solution was to partner with Throne Labs to install self-standing bathrooms. The initiative has grown since I first toured one in 2024, and now the Council wants to invest in expanding their presence. So -- I decided to revisit my own video to share the latest... (And actually, the bathrooms I've been in have smelled pretty good!)

Don’t you hate it when you’re attending a toilet paper cutting ceremony in a new city, and your tummy starts to bubble? You can’t make this stuff up. Last Friday, I’m minutes from a press event to officially launch the city of Seattle when bad things start happening inside my gut (not completely a coincidence, I mean I started this company for a reason). But I can’t use the Thrones I’m standing next to because 5 news stations are beginning to gather, and we’re about to host the Mayor on an interior Throne tour. Even I'm not that bold. What do I do? Sprint to our other Thrones 6 blocks away, and return just in time to cut some TP. This experience brought the term Founder-Product-Fit to a new level. So pumped to be partnering with the city of Seattle, Mayor Katie Wilson, Councilmember Rob Saka, Seattle Department of Transportation, Pierce Transit, and King County Metro Transit.
