We’re excited to share the next chapter of our partnership with Lands' End: their new resale shop is officially live! 🛍️ ♻️ After launching a Clean Out program earlier this year, Lands’ End is expanding its resale offering to give customers even more ways to participate in the circular economy. This latest resale experience makes it easier to keep quality clothing in circulation and gives Lands’ End customers a seamless way to shop the brand they love, secondhand. 🌟 We’re thrilled to continue growing our partnership with Lands’ End and help bring resale directly to their community. 🤝 Check out the new shop: landsend.thredup.com

Our fifth annual Impact Report is here! Inside, a look at our 2025 environmental, social, and governance (ESG) progress and how it's advancing our mission to inspire the world to think secondhand first. As our co-founder and CEO James Reinhart says, "Circularity is more than a program we run alongside the business. When ThredUp grows, more clothing stays in circulation. There is no version of our success that is separate from our impact." Some 2025 highlights: 🛍️ Ended 2025 with more than 1.7 million active buyers shopping across 60,000+ brands on our marketplace. 👗 Recirculated 1.7 million items through our Resale-as-a-Service (RaaS) business, in partnership with leading brands. 🌍 Prevented the equivalent of 1.3 billion pounds of CO2, saved 13.4 billion gallons of water, and saved 2.5 billion kWh of energy to date. ⚖️ Helped drive the closure of the de minimis loophole, correcting an imbalance that let ultra fast fashion flood the U.S. market duty free. James will be sharing his perspective on how we became an AI-first organization, digging into what’s changing, what’s working, and what retail leaders should be thinking about as AI continues to reshape the industry...especially the resale industry. We’re looking forward to the conversations, ideas, and connections that come with bringing retail and technology leaders together. We hope to see some of you in Huntington! https://retailclub.com/

Welcome OLEADA to the ThredUp Resale-as-a-Service family! OLEADA, the premium bag and work essentials brand designed to last well beyond one season, has just launched a Clean Out program powered by ThredUp's RaaS. The program lets OLEADA customers resell gently-worn items (from any brand) in exchange for shopping credit toward new OLEADA pieces. "OLEADA was designed for women who need their bags to work as hard as they do, and that means designing things built to last well beyond one season. Partnering with ThredUp brings that thinking to a community that already shops with intention. If you are meeting us for the first time, welcome to the world of OLEADA WorkStyle. Made so you can handle your day and everything after it," said Tiffany Zhou, Co-Founder and Creative Director of OLEADA. OLEADA joins 50+ brands — including J.Crew, Athleta and Madewell — using RaaS to deliver scalable, on-brand resale experiences. ICYMI: Our RaaS partner, J.Crew Group released their annual Impact Report and the number are staggering... We power resale behind two of their most-loved programs, J.Crew Always and Madewell Forever, and the report shows what happens when circularity becomes a real business strategy, not a side project: 📊 1.6M+ garments recirculated through Madewell Forever since it launched in 2021 (428K denim pieces in 2023 alone) 📊 98,000+ items resold and kept in circulation through J.Crew Always That's millions of garments getting a second life instead of hitting the landfill, driven by real customer demand at two iconic brands. Congrats to the J.Crew Group team on the milestone. Read the full Impact Report here: https://lnkd.in/gXfdDKN9
J.Crew Group is proud to share our 2025 Impact Report, marking the completion of sustainability goals first set in 2018 and the introduction of our new 2030 Impact Strategy. The report provides an update across the four pillars of our Impact at JCG strategy: Product, Planet, People and Principles. It also outlines the next phase of our work to create timeless products responsibly, protect and restore the planet, care for the people who bring our brands to life, and lead with integrity. Key achievements include reaching 81% sustainably sourced cotton across J.Crew Group, supporting regenerative agriculture across 52 farms, seven states and more than 36,000 acres, and helping divert more than 4.1 million garments from landfills through programs including J.Crew Always, Madewell Forever, denim take-back and Second-Life Swim. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made and excited to continue building on it in the years ahead. Repurpose just went live on ThredUp, and it's exactly the kind of partner that makes our marketplace matter. ♻️ Repurpose is an NYC nonprofit reselling donated designer and high-end pieces, with proceeds funding their RENEW Fellowship, a program that supports and prepares NYC youth for careers in styling, resale, and e-commerce. One of their own Fellows now runs their day-to-day operations right here on our platform. This is exactly why we love the circular economy. It's not just inventory and transactions, it's infrastructure other missions can build on. A nonprofit gets a distribution channel, a Fellow gets real e-commerce experience, and secondhand does what it does best: It turns surplus into opportunity, for the planet and for people. Welcome to the ThredUp fam, Repurpose team! Shop the drop: thredup.com/repurpose #ThredUp #ResaleWithPurpose

California's Responsible Textile Recovery Act goes into effect today, July 1 — making it the first Extended Producer Responsibility law for apparel in the U.S. What does that mean for fashion brands? Every company generating $1M+ in California sales must now register, track materials, and take accountability for their products' end of life. The short version: resale is no longer optional. 📈 The secondhand market is already growing 4x faster than primary retail. 👗 58% of Gen Z start their fashion journey in resale. 🤝 60% of younger shoppers say brands with integrated resale earn more of their trust. ‼️ Only 16% of brands are ready to scale resale today. ThredUp's RaaS platform exists to close that gap — turning compliance pressure into a competitive advantage. Read the full Forbes story on what SB 707 means for the future of fashion and DM Alon Rotem or Annika Nelson to learn more about how RaaS can help get your brand ready 👇 Thank you Pamela Danziger for breaking it down for us! https://lnkd.in/gCxsPEnx

For 15 years, ThredUp has been a leader in managed resale. But we know that when it comes to clearing out closets, one size doesn't fit all. Sometimes you want to send in a bag and let us do the heavy lifting. Other times, you have a single, higher-value item you want to sell right now. Today, we are bridging that gap with the launch of Direct Listing, bringing peer-to-peer (P2P) selling directly into the ThredUp marketplace! ✨ What makes Direct Listing a game-changer? 👉 0% Seller Fees: Sellers keep 100% of their earnings to cash out or reinvest. 👉 Stress-Free Returns: ThredUp handles the returns using our distribution center footprint and logistics network. 👉 Instant Scale: P2P listings are integrated directly into our marketplace, giving items immediate exposure to our set of active buyers. 👉 AI-Powered "One-Tap" Listing: AI-driven background removal, auto-filled details, and smart pricing recommendations make listing take just minutes. Resale shouldn't force you to choose between convenience and control, and we're proud to offer sellers both. Try it for yourself and let us know how you like it - we're all ears! https://lnkd.in/g9PRS7Bf
