Closing out Women’s History Month strong 💛 Our Nicotra Group Chief Operating Officer, Kristine Albano Garlisi, joined P.S. 60’s Women’s History Month celebration, focused on our Staten Island Community, and was blown away by the students who had studied her career and asked such thoughtful questions! 👏 They asked about her Keys to Success: ✨ Have a great Team, work hard, and let everyone join in! ✨ Listen as much as you talk. ✨ Be kind and positive. It will reflect back on you! Sharing our Nicotra Foundation mission and how much we LOVE Staten Island gave us a nice opportunity to build community.💛 Special thanks to Ms. Tina Colocchio-Esposito and Principal Donna Bonnano for inviting us back for the 5th year! 🙌 We LOVE inspiring our future leaders and we LOVE Staten Island!

Celebrating 50 Years in Business TODAY! 🎉 50 years ago today, a dream began. On March 29, 1976, Lois and Richard Nicotra opened their first location of Everything Yogurt on Wall Street. Over the next three decades, Everything Yogurt became a household name as they expanded the franchise and concept to more than 250 stores worldwide. But the Nicotras never forgot their roots. Their early risk became the foundation for the chapters of their business, grounded in their beloved borough, Staten Island. Today, the Nicotras are hoteliers and owners of the Hilton Garden Inn Staten Island, Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Staten Island, Nicotra’s Ballroom, Above Staten Island, COMMONS café, Pienza Brick Oven Pizza Café, Lorenzo’s Restaurant, Bar & Cabaret, and more. 🏨🍽️✨ They are Staten Island’s largest private real estate developers, managing more than 1.5MM square feet of Class A office space and home to hundreds of loyal Tenants and The Nicotra Group Team Members. Their latest project, Corporate Commons Three, a 330,000sf, LEED-certified office building, is their most ambitious yet and home to Staten Island’s first rooftop farm, the Nicotra Grown Organic Rooftop Farm. 🌱 Their commitment to Staten Island extends far beyond business. Through The Lois & Richard Nicotra Foundation, they have donated more than $2MM to local nonprofits and schools – investing directly back into the borough they LOVE. ✨ 50 incredible years later and we’re just getting started. The future has never looked brighter! _______________________________________________________ Celebrating 50 Years of The Nicotra Group. 💛 For 50 years, Lois and Richard Nicotra have been building more than businesses – they’ve been creating a legacy of love, innovation, and community right here on Staten Island. Starting with 🍦 Everything Yogurt, their ventures include: 🏨 Hilton Garden Inn Staten Island 🛏️ Hampton Inn & Suites Staten Island ☕️ COMMONS café 🍕 Pienza Brick Oven Pizza Café 🍽️ Lorenzo’s Restaurant, Bar & Cabaret 💛 The Lois & Richard Nicotra Foundation 🌱 Nicotra Grown Organic Rooftop Farm 🍾 Nicotra’s Ballroom ✨ Above Staten Island Each chapter in their story is a testament to their unwavering commitment to Staten Island and to each other. As we celebrate 50 incredible years for The Nicotra Group, we’re reflecting on the milestones that have shaped who we are, while also looking ahead to the exciting journey still to come. Each month, we’ll share stories from our past and glimpses into the future we’re building together. More reasons to LOVE Staten Island! Thank you for being part of this impactful journey. We LOVE sharing it with you!

Celebrating 5️⃣0️⃣ years in business today…and always planning for tomorrow! 🎉 Thank you, to our hometown- Staten Island - and everyone who is a part of this journey, past and present.❤️ Onward. ❤️ 5️⃣0️⃣ 🎉
CELEBRATING🎉: 5️⃣0️⃣ years ago TODAY, a frozen yogurt business opened and a DREAM began! 🍦🥗 A toast to 50 years for The Nicotra Group as the Nicotras tell the story of their first day, and a photo here shows they’ve kept their register from their VERY FIRST Everything Yogurt store! 🧡 Lois and Richard Nicotra's life as entrepreneurs started on March 29, 1976 with the Grand Opening of their first creative business venture, Everything Yogurt, on Wall Street. When they opened 5️⃣0️⃣ years ago, salads and yogurts with toppings were not the fast food norm - there was no one to copy in the industry. Richard was 21 at the time and, over the next three decades, they expanded the franchise and concept to more than 250 stores worldwide. Today, the Nicotras are hoteliers - owners of the Hilton Garden Inn (Staten Island), Hampton Inn by Hilton Staten Island, Nicotra's Ballroom, Above Staten Island, COMMONS café, Pienza Brick Oven Pizza Café and Lorenzo's Restaurant, Bar & Cabaret. They are also the largest private real estate developers in their beloved borough - with their Nicotra Group and Corporate Park of Staten Island expanding beyond its current holdings of more than 1.5MM sf of Class A Office Space. Most recently they built Corporate Commons Three, a 330,000 sf Class A LEED certified office building, the most expansive project in their portfolio which is also home to Nicotra Grown Organic Rooftop Farm. I came to know them in 1997 through their philanthropy when my then employer, our shared Alma Mater, St. John’s University, honored the Nicotras for their generosity; today, The Lois & Richard Nicotra Foundation has awarded more than $2MM to “Do Good” things for Staten Island. They also keep South Avenue beautiful via their nonprofit Bloomfield Conservancy. At their personal expense, they have opened their Ballroom and hosted fundraisers for those in need - raising millions over recent years for various national and international emergencies - and, perhaps most significantly, refused to displace their Staten Island neighbors when Sandy hit our community just prior to the NYC Marathon. That's today's success, and they are still working every day, visiting every event, greeting each tenant, and planning for South Avenue and Staten Island's future as they continue to build on their vision...but back in 1976, they were St. John's University college kids with an idea. In their own words... "We don't fight. We have been in business for more than 40 years. Time and life are too precious. We feel there is so much to celebrate. It's like that Taylor Swift song, ‘why do people have to be mean’. We love what we do and our employees are our family. They have become what we are working for - we have 500 people who depend on that paycheck for their rent, their mortgage payment, their tuition payments - we don't take that lightly." --Lois & Richard Nicotra, Crain's New York Business 🥗🍦
