  • Over the past few months, we've had the privilege of working with Savi Security on their brand and the UX for their first product, Scamwise, which just launched this week! Scamwise.com is a free scam detection tool that helps anyone check any suspicious message and get a trusted answer instantly. Savi was founded by two brothers who were inspired to go out and tackle this rising problem head on after their own mom had a close call with a scammer. Go check out Scamwise and share with your mom, grandpa, or anyone else in your life that could use a second opinion the next time they're wondering about that weird text or email.

Last year, my mom received a terrifying phone call. Scammers had cloned my sister’s voice, spoofed her phone number and staged a fake hostage scenario. If mom didn’t send money immediately, they claimed they would kill her daughter. Thanks to some quick-thinking and a lot of luck, mom narrowly avoided the brutal trap. Our family isn’t alone. It seems everybody has a story as digital fraud has quietly become the fastest growing crime in America. ▸ Americans now lose over $100 billion per year to digital fraud ▸ Gen Z reports the highest volume of incidents ▸ Victims aged 60+ lose an average of ~$30K per incident Our mom's experience and these alarming trends in the data pushed my brother Ryan and I to quit our jobs and focus on building better digital defense for families in the AI era. Today, we're sharing our first project: Scamwise. It's a free tool that helps anyone spot scams instantly. No account required. No ads. No sketchy data sharing. Just a fast, clear answer when something feels off. If you get a suspicious text, DM, email, or piece of mail — give it a try today at Scamwise.com or share it with the people in your life who need a trusted second opinion when you can't always be there. We're just getting started. Check out the link in the comments if you want to learn more about what else we're building at Savi Security.

  • Yesterday, a few new members of the Designing Care community (a cohort of design, product, and innovation leaders across companies that are revolutionizing care) shared more about the companies they’re building and where they’re headed. Thanks to Emily Greenberg (Joy Parenting Club), Lauren Meyer (Clarity Pediatrics), Ryann Vernetson, MA, LPC (Tia), and David Knack (Zingage) for an open conversation on scaling, AI integration, pivots, messaging, sequencing, and more. Sessions like this are a great reminder of how valuable it is to learn directly from one another as we build the future of care. If you’re a seasoned or new leader at a startup focused on care and would like to learn more and join in on the fun, message us here! #DesigningCare

  • What an exciting milestone for the future of care in America! Chicago is set to become home to the country's first intergenerational care-based housing community, a visionary project called Carehaus that brings older adults and disabled people together in a shared living environment built around dignity, connection, and mutual support. We can't wait to see this groundbreaking model come to life by 2028 and inspire communities across the country. https://www.carehaus.net/

  • When Elana Meyers Taylor OLY won gold last week, the first person she ran to hug was her nanny. Stories like this one serve as a powerful reminder that quality caregiving is often what quietly makes ambition possible. Congratulations to Elana, and thank you to her nanny as well as all of the caregivers who show up and do the work that rarely makes headlines but changes lives every day. https://lnkd.in/g-JRwsDM

Join us on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 11:00am PT / 2:00pm ET for a conversation on the future of long-term care in America. As our population ages and caregiving demands intensify, the question is no longer whether we need systemic change, but how we build it. Long-term care affects us all, yet too often remains invisible until crisis hits. Join us in learning from the leaders reimagining how we care for one another, advancing innovative policy models, embedding support within communities, and building intergenerational coalitions for sustainable change. We’ll hear from Ben Veghte, Director of Washington State’s WA Cares Fund—the nation’s first publicly funded long-term care program—who will share lessons from the Netherlands on how housing and long-term care provider innovation can better support person-centered aging. We’ll also hear from Anne Montgomery, policy analyst and health systems researcher specializing in long-term services and supports, who will discuss housing innovation through a reframing of demographic change as an inflection point rather than a crisis. As always, this conversation will be moderated by The Holding Co.'s storyteller-in-residence, Courtney Martin. Care Guild in Conversation is open to the public (anyone who cares about care, which is everyone!), so feel free to spread the word to your colleagues, networks, etc. The registration link can be seen in the comments below.

As a director of operations at Godfrey Dadich Partners, Nancy Down’s work sits “at the intersection of people, process, and possibility.” She designs internal systems that empower creatives, editors, and strategists to do their best work. Her focus? “Creating the conditions for collaboration, efficiency, and joy,” ensuring teams have the clarity, resources, and structures they need to thrive. She also manages GDP’s program management team, ensuring projects are aligned and deadlines are met. For Nancy, creativity isn’t limited to art or design. She brings a human-centered lens to operations, approaching systems “with the same intentionality and imagination that a designer brings to a product.” When she’s off the clock, Nancy is all about community and adventure, whether she's watching 49ers games with friends and family or traveling across North America to see her favorite band, Phish (and cherishing the relationships that have come with that).
