As a former NBA player, I know that criticism is part of the game. But in an age when players are under attack constantly, the Knick star is an example to us all. https://lnkd.in/eQjBr3rh

The Guardian US reposted this
American consumers are angry. Nearly 80% of Americans had a service or product problem in 2025, and about two-thirds of those felt “rage” about it, according to the “National Consumer Rage” survey. Many consumers feel they are constantly fighting against an onslaught of overcharges, customer service hassles, shoddy products and billing mistakes that always seem to go in the company’s favor. All of this comes against a background of soaring prices and rising inflation. In the coming weeks, the Guardian plans to examine some of the causes behind this rising epidemic of consumer frustration, the impact on Americans’ lives, the watchdogs on the beat, and potential solutions. Fill out our form and tell us your personal tales of corporate frustration here. We’ll explore this problem together: https://lnkd.in/erkj9RAy Read the story here: https://lnkd.in/e7Es_wSX

TW: Sexual assault Former Catholic priest Anthony Odiong has been sentenced to life in prison following years of dogged reporting by Ramon Antonio Vargas and our partners David Hammer and Charlie Scudder on allegations that he sexually assaulted several women, often exploiting his status as their clergyman to initiate unwanted touching, coercion, and abusive financial control. While the verdict and resulting life sentence can’t undo the harm already caused, it serves as a powerful reminder of the profound, real-world impact of rigorous public interest journalism. And perhaps most validating, one of the survivors issued a press release via her legal team expressing her “heartfelt gratitude” to the Guardian for making this accountability possible.
