In her State of the State address, Governor Kathy Hochul shared how she’s fighting for New Yorkers’ families — and their futures. With more than 200 initiatives to make life more affordable, keep New Yorkers safe, and expand opportunity, the Governor’s State of the State agenda is focused on building a New York that works for working people in every corner of the state.

"Many hands make lighter work."    That's how the saying goes, but whoever coined it has clearly never worked a State of the State!   The tireless work of our talented Chamber staff, along with the invaluable support of our executive agencies, helped make Governor Kathy Hochul’s fifth State of the State address a shining success.   From logistics to coordination, the behind-the-scenes work was a masterclass in teamwork and commitment to Governor Hochul’s vision and goals.   Thank you to every team member that made the dream work, and for your dedication and efforts that help bring these events to life!

Today, Governor Kathy Hochul marked the start of construction on Micron Technology’s new facility in Clay, which will soon become the largest semiconductor manufacturing hub in the nation. The unprecedented scale of Micron’s investment — $100 billion over 20 years and the single largest private investment in New York State history — will be transformational for upstate New York, and is a sign that businesses know New York is the place to be for advanced manufacturing. Fueled by Governor Hochul’s Green CHIPS legislation and other transformative investments, this project will help New York lead the world in microchip production, creating 50,000 jobs statewide and generating opportunity for generations of New Yorkers to come. This is what it looks like when the private and public sectors work together for the people.

The State of our State is strong — and Governor Kathy Hochul is just getting started. In this week's State of the State address, Governor Hochul made it clear that New Yorkers' families and futures are her figjht, outlining more than 200 initiatives to make life more affordable, protect our communities, and expand opportunity across the state.
