Visa made a major change in April with the Digital Commerce Authentication Program (DCAP), offering interchange savings for businesses that share richer transaction data during authentication. We moved quickly to help Stripe businesses take advantage of this while protecting their authorization rates. Authorization Boost evaluates cost savings, conversion impact, and fraud risk at the individual transaction level to determine when to apply Data Only 3DS. This allows businesses to capture DCAP savings while limiting the impact to the customer experience and authorization rates. Since launch, we've helped businesses capture $18.4M in annualized network cost savings. If you use Authorization Boost, you're already benefiting. Details here: https://lnkd.in/gUZ2pzbm.

Some of the best conversations at Stripe Sessions weren't happening on stage. At our Cheeky Pint pub, I sat down with Cristina Cordova, one of Stripe's OGs and now at Linear. She shared how she sees Stripe differently now as a partner, and how Linear's audience has grown well beyond developers. We also got into how they're rethinking their pricing strategy as AI reshapes what software is worth. Thanks for joining me for a mini Guinness, Cristina!

Evan Spiegel on how Snapchat broke the model of social media by prioritizing your inner circle over network size: “What Snapchat proved was actually that it’s not about the size of your network or the number of people you can contact on your network. It’s about who you actually talk to. That tends to be a much smaller group than the total size of the potential network, or even your total number of friends. That broke the model of social media, which was the more friends you have, the more engaged you have, the more value there is. I think people spend most of their time talking to the folks who are most important to them. If we design a service that’s all about talking to the people who are most important to you, your close friends, and we design a service that’s really, really great at that.” YouTube: https://lnkd.in/g3-B8JXZ Spotify: https://lnkd.in/g72cUfQs Apple Podcasts: https://lnkd.in/gFYwFPyV Full transcript on Substack: https://lnkd.in/gfMaGTTc
