There’s nothing quite like The Tourney! We were proud to be on site at the Minnesota State High School League as the Official Skate Sharpener, supporting teams during one of the most iconic events in high school hockey. Days of sold out arenas delivered unforgettable moments on and off the ice. It was a blast for our team to see the passion and tradition of Minnesota’s State of Hockey on full display! A big thank you to everyone who visited the Sparx Service Center and our booth in the concourse during the tournament. We’re grateful to support these athletes as they compete at the highest level of high school hockey!

The start of 2026 has been a whirlwind for the Sparx Hockey marketing team. After finalizing official partnerships with the US Pond Hockey Championships/Pond Hockey Classic, the Quebec International Pee-Wee Tournament (Tournoi International de Hockey Pee-Wee de Québec), the MSHSL Girls Hockey Tournament and the MSHSL Boys Hockey Tournament, we knew it was going to be a busy start to the year. From January 29 to March 7, these events created an incredibly condensed activation window. While many brands often deploy 15–20 people to support events of this scale, we executed them with a FOUR-person marketing team responsible for all event aspects, including set up and tear down, product education, photo and video production, posting live social content and overall customer engagement. Caleigh Burchfield, Ryan LaFleur and Evan Jackson executed these events at an exceptional level and I'm incredibly proud to be part of this dedicated team. Over the past five weeks, our four-person team: • Traveled 21 of 35 days • Flew nearly 20,000 miles combined • Drove more than 2,000 miles • Logged 52 hotel nights • Conducted a total of 18 demo booth set-ups and tear-downs Event marketing can be challenging to measure through a traditional ROI lens, but the brand exposure and engagement we achieved at these events was unmatched. With a combined attendance exceeding 350,000 fans, we were able to put Sparx directly in front of thousands of current and prospective customers across some of the most passionate hockey communities in North America. And our digital impact was even more significant. Through Caleigh and Evan’s real-time social media efforts, our channels saw a 693% increase in engagement compared to the same period last year, the highest performance in our brand’s history. Truly remarkable. Like an NHL team that bonds during a long road trip, experiences like these build a level of trust and camaraderie you simply can’t replicate in an office. I can confidently say our team is stronger than ever, and there’s no group I’d trust more to pull off a successful event than Caleigh, Ryan, and Evan. A huge thank you as well to the many people across the Sparx Hockey organization who helped make these events successful: • Sean Whitney and Erica Lynn Rivas from our operations team for managing product and shipping coordination. • Joe Tracy and Andy Tucker for overseeing the Sparx Service Center during The Tourney - where we sharpened hundreds of skates for participating players. • Judd Feingold and Dan Finn from our internal sales team for supporting our on-site activations. • Quebec sales reps Julien Paradis and Jean-Philippe Lemay who were a major help at the Quebec Pee Wee Tournament. • And Tyler Dennis for holding down the marketing fort back at the office Events like this are truly a team effort. In the immortal words of Jay-Z… On to the next one.
