The agentic operating system for work and life - connecting people, businesses, and AI agents into a network of action.

About us

Solo is an agentic operating system — where your digital staff actually do the work: reading, deciding, coordinating, executing. Not assistants that wait to be told what to do — but agents that understand what needs to be done and take action.

  • Most people think SaaS wins because of code. It actually wins because of packaging, distribution, and recurring revenue. Now flip it: Service as Software is when a service behaves like software — a clear promise, a standard delivery system, and a simple interface customers actually want — often just messaging. That’s the model I’m betting on: automation for the predictable parts, humans for judgment, all wrapped in a product-like experience. • The labor market just posted a job description for software. RevenueCat just posted a role for an **Agentic AI Developer & Growth Advocate**. Not a person who uses AI. An agent that is expected to ship. That is the real shift: from copilots that make humans faster to agents that own outputs end to end. A few takeaways that matter right now: - Roles are turning into **outputs**, not hours - The constraint is **reliability and continuity**, not raw intelligence - Distribution is an engineering problem — writing is easy, **shipping** is the work This is exactly why we built Solo: a persistent identity plus a small team of specialized agents that can run inbox, workflows, drafting, follow ups, and execution without turning your day into tab roulette. • If you’re comparing Solo’s pricing to “one more hire,” you’ll miss the real math. The real cost isn’t salary — it’s cost-to-capability: recruiting + ramp + management overhead + context switching + inconsistent follow-through. Solo is a revenue-and-operations multiplier: agents that handle the repeatable, communication-heavy work — follow-ups, coordination, lead list building, invoicing, scheduling so your team can focus on judgment, empathy, and creativity. A simple rollout strategy: 1. Pick one high-volume, low-judgment workflow 2. Start standalone — no forced integrations 3. Measure outcomes for 2–4 weeks 4. Integrate only when it’s clearly worth it Full post: https://lnkd.in/eDh7HXS8

AI in schools isn’t only about the classroom. The fastest measurable wins are often operational: inbox triage, policy-grounded responses, smarter routing, and better service for families. Here’s the full article: https://lnkd.in/eq-HTDaG

  • Most “enterprise-grade AI” is a compliment that comes with a leash. At scale, governance is non-negotiable. And governance means constraints: slower iteration, less intuition, more rails. Frontier AI is the opposite: explore everything, connect everything, ship fast — and occasionally invent a new way to break your org. In this piece, I lay out the real trade: - Enterprise AI optimizes for safety and control - Frontier AI optimizes for capability and discovery - Hybrid systems try to get the best of both by baking governance into the architecture — not bolting it on later Solo is built in that hybrid direction. It can feel slower because it’s not one model “winging it” — it’s a coordinated swarm of purpose-built agents that routes intent into safe, high-leverage action. Speed is a feature. But at enterprise scale, correctness is the product. https://lnkd.in/gCfmhTQq #AI #EnterpriseAI #AgenticAI #Governance #FrontierAI #Productivity

  • Most “product comparisons” are really just feature checklists in a trench coat. The comparison that actually matters is operating model. Do you run your business with • manual coordination and context switching • a human layer that adds capacity but also management overhead • a patchwork of tools that never quite closes the loop • an agent framework you assemble and maintain yourself • or an operating system designed around outcomes We just published a long-form piece on Solo vs OpenClaw — and the broader category tradeoffs, with a practical framework for choosing what fits your team and stage. • Solo is built for something most AI tools still don’t deliver: reliable outcomes. Instead of one giant model doing everything, Solo is an agentic operating system: a coordinated team of specialists with orchestration, redundant queues, audit logging, and a shared, hydrated context contract. Net effect: less prompting, fewer dropped balls, and work that actually converges to “done.” New post: Solo Architecture, or Why the Future Is a Fleet https://lnkd.in/g6eBp4UY If you want this “request → outcome” way of working for your own business, claim your Solo identity by emailing the handle you want — e.g., handle@solomail.io.

Most “future of work” talk still focuses on model capability. But the real bottleneck is something more practical: Not what models can do — what organizations can actually deploy. OpenAI’s new Frontier announcement calls this out directly: the opportunity gap isn’t model intelligence. It’s the messy middle of getting agents to do real work inside real systems. What changes when “AI coworkers” become normal is less about chat, and more about operating conditions: - shared context — so work isn isn’t blind - onboarding — so agents learn the business - feedback loops — so quality compounds - permissions + boundaries — so you can trust execution - orchestration across tools and workflows — so agents aren’t isolated demos Frontier is one answer to that problem at the enterprise layer. Solo comes at the same shift from the other direction. Similar idea: orchestration + execution + context so agents can do actual work. Different bet: you’re not locked into one model or one stack. Solo is designed so you can route work through whatever model makes sense — today, and as the landscape changes, while keeping the workflow consistent: one place to coordinate, run, and refine real tasks. The future of work isn’t “AI everywhere.” It’s dependable delegation — with context, control, and choice. #futureofwork #agents #ai #productivity #workflow Sign up for Solo at https://solomail.io Claim your handle@solomail.io

  • AI Morning Review — Thu Feb 5 — high-signal / non-obvious 1. Sleeper-agent backdoors: practical detection for open-weight LLM supply chains Microsoft published a method — "The Trigger in the Haystack" to scan for poisoned ‘sleeper agent’ backdoors without knowing the trigger phrase or intended malicious behavior. Why it matters: open-weight adoption makes model provenance a real software-supply-chain risk; standard red-teaming can miss dormant triggers. Practitioner impact: if you ship or fine-tune open weights, this is a concrete direction for pre-deploy ‘model malware’ screening beyond prompt-based evals. Source: https://lnkd.in/eNjPzdCZ 2. DeepSeek V4 — coding-first rumored for mid-February Source: https://lnkd.in/gxntcsPQ 3. Release velocity continues to spike — track "minor" open — -ish models that quietly leap Source: https://lnkd.in/gMDBBYqh Quick takes / what I’d test today — 30–60 min: - Add a ‘model supply chain’ checklist for any open-weight adoption: provenance, scanning, trigger probes, fine-tune data audit. - Run a weekly lightweight bakeoff on your top 3 tasks — coding, RAG QA, long-context planning incl. at least one "non-usual suspect" model. #AI #LLM #MLOps #Security #ModelSupplyChain

  • Agents browsing the web is coming soon to Solo. But the real unlock isn’t “agents can look things up.” That’s table stakes. The unlock is: agents that can do work inside your business systems, safely. In Solo, we give agents defined, unbreakable guardrails on what runtime tools they’re allowed to use. That means you can let an agent: - pull the right internal data - take approved actions - move a workflow forward - close the loop automatically …without turning your ops stack into the Wild West. Browsing helps with context. Guardrails + tools are what turn context into outcomes. If you’ve ever wished you could delegate the boring-but-critical work and still sleep at night, this is that. #AI #Agents #Automation #Operations #Productivity #Solo
