Detroit has its own rhythm. It’s shaped by sound, movement, and the people who keep showing up to do the work. This campaign was built with that spirit at the center and brought to life inside Detroit’s historic Michigan Central Station, a place that holds so much of the city’s past and future. We’re grateful to the Michigan Central team for opening their doors and partnering with us to create in such a meaningful space. From our teams across design, manufacturing, and production to the creative partners and musical talent who helped bring the vision to life, this work came together through deep collaboration and a shared love for the city we proudly call home. Others make noise. We keep the beat. There’s no Silent Night in Detroit.

What if the next great chapter of watchmaking was written in Detroit? Earlier this month, we placed a full-page ad in The New York Times with a bold invitation: for Swiss watchmakers to partner with us here in Detroit. Not as a transplant. As a collaboration. The challenge is real. With new tariffs reshaping the industry, global watchmakers are rethinking how and where they build. Our proposal is simple: combine Swiss precision with Detroit grit. Build smarter supply chains. Train the next generation of watchmakers. Create limited editions that fuse technical mastery with American craft. This isn’t about replacing tradition. It’s about reimagining what’s possible - positioning Detroit not just as a city of talented makers, but as a global watchmaking hub. Thank you Bloomberg for highlighting this moment. We’re excited by the response so far, and by what comes next.   Watch Bloomberg's interview with Shinola CEO Steven Katzman: https://shorturl.at/F7kUB Read the article from The Business of Fashion: https://shorturl.at/gAuU6

Each September, Detroit Month of Design celebrates the creative talent that defines our city. For us at Shinola, it’s a reminder of why we’re proud to call Detroit home - and why design is at the heart of everything we do. As this year’s celebration comes to a close, we’re grateful for the chance to partner with artist KaceyKal, who transformed our Woodward store windows with his bold interpretation of the Detrola art dial. His work brought a burst of color and energy to downtown Detroit, and we were honored to showcase it throughout the month.
