  • As Women’s History Month comes to a close, we’re looking at the tools that power our work every day at SHIFT. Much of the "modern" marketing stack actually sits on a foundation built by female pioneers: Ada Lovelace: The first computer programmer. She was the first to realize that machines could follow logical instructions—the very basis of the marketing automation we implement for our clients today. Hedy Lamarr: An inventor who co-developed frequency-hopping technology. Without her work, we wouldn't have the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth that makes mobile-first digital strategy possible. Radia Perlman: Often called the "Mother of the Internet," her invention of the Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) is what allowed complex networks to scale reliably. While these historical figures paved the way, the 70+ women currently working at SHIFT are the ones driving the industry forward today. From data architecture and technical execution to customer experience and lifecyle strategy and client advocacy, their expertise is woven into every solution we deliver.
