As part of World Breastfeeding Week (observed annually from August 1-7), our Maternal Child team hosted a breast milk donation drive and family resource event in partnership with Mothers' Milk Bank California. Together, we helped raise awareness about the life-saving impact of donor milk and connected families with valuable resources to support infant nutrition and wellness.   Thank you to our caregivers, partners, donors, and community members for helping create healthier futures for the youngest members of our community.

Inspiring the Next Generation of Healthcare Professionals 🩺⚕️   Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley recently launched its first Health Care Explorers Program, bringing together student volunteers for an immersive day of career exploration, hands-on learning, and meaningful conversations with healthcare professionals.   Participants heard directly from physicians, nurses, and clinical specialists about their career journeys, educational pathways, and the realities of working in health care. Through interactive panels, Q&A sessions, and practical demonstrations, students gained firsthand exposure to the many opportunities available in health care.   The feedback received from the participants indicated that the program provided valuable insight into healthcare careers, educational pathways, and the day-to-day realities of working in healthcare. Many highlighted the presentations as particularly impactful, while the hands-on clinical activities received strong reviews as well. Several students reported a stronger interest in pursuing healthcare professions following the program, reinforcing the value of early career exploration and mentorship.   One theme was clear: students were inspired not only by the hands-on experiences, but by the healthcare professionals who generously shared their stories, advice, and passion for patient care.   A heartfelt thank you to our physicians, nurses, and staff who helped make this pilot program a success. Over the weekend, Team Tri-Valley joined the Tri-Valley for Black Lives Community Coalition’s Juneteenth celebration in Livermore. Our team connected with attendees and offered hands-only CPR training—equipping more community members with life-saving skills and awareness.

We’re proud to share that our Physical & Sports Medicine clinic is open at its new location at 1015 E. Stanley Blvd. in Livermore. Starting today, services at the new space will include physical therapy, occupational therapy, hand therapy, speech-language pathology, and cardiac rehabilitation. #SHCTriValley #PhysicalSportsMedicine
