  • 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺. For many patients, participating in research means driving hours to a site—or not participating at all. This creates "research deserts" and kills patient retention. In this 20-minute episode, Tyler Van Horn, CEO at Science 37, explains how we've flipped the script with our Direct-to-Patient Site. Imagine a single site that covers all 50 states by bringing the trial to the patient’s living room. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀: • Overview of Science 37's Direct-to-Patient Site • Navigating sponsor adoption and common hurdles • The reality of site conduct and operations in the home • Ensuring investigator oversight and quality control • Improving the caregiver and patient journey If you’re curious about how direct-to-patient trials actually work in practice, this is a must-listen. 🎧 Click here to play the episode: https://lnkd.in/ehCz-R7i Society for Clinical Research Sites (SCRS) #ClinicalResearch #ClinicalTrials #Science37

  • A couple of weeks ago, we shared the launch of Science 37's Pediatrics Department—a milestone designed to move research forward by meeting families exactly where they are. Traditional trials often ask parents and children to revolve their lives around a clinic. We believe it should be the other way around. By bringing specialized care into the home, we’re making it possible for children to participate in research without disrupting existing routines or schedules. 🧸 Read the announcement here: https://lnkd.in/ePrTt8MR Debra Weinstein #PediatricResearch #Pediatrics #ClinicalTrials #ClinicalResearch #PatientCentricity #Science37

For any parent, a child’s illness is a source of profound anxiety. When that illness is rare or chronic and treatment options include clinical research, the complexity of daily life multiples exponentially. When Lucas’s parents learned about a clinical study for Fragile X Syndrome, they faced a common dilemma. With another son in school and a 5-hour trek to the nearest participating site, traditional site visits weren't just "difficult"—they were impossible. By participating in the study with Science 37, the trial was brought into Lucas's "comfort zone." 🏠✨ 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆: • 𝗭𝗲𝗿𝗼 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻: No 10-hour round trips to Memphis or Atlanta. • 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘇𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲: Procedures like blood draws—which can be overwhelming for children with Fragile X—became manageable because they happened at home. • 𝗙𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀: The team worked around the family’s school schedules and daily routines. As Lucas's parents share in the video below, the results have been life-changing. We are proud to make research more accessible for families who need it most. Supporting families like Lucas's is at the very heart of why we established our dedicated Pediatrics Department. Our team is focused on bridging the gap between research and the realities of daily life, ensuring that geography and logistics never stand in the way of hope. 🧠 For a child with a neurodevelopmental disorder or a rare chronic condition, a busy, unfamiliar clinic isn’t just a "visit"—it can be a source of profound anxiety and sensory overload. 🚗 For their parents, it often means missed work, pulled school days, and hundreds of miles of travel. These aren't just logistical hurdles; they are barriers that stifle scientific progress and lead to high dropout rates. 📍 At Science 37, we believe that geography and logistics should never determine a child's access to life-changing therapies. ✨ This is why we are so proud to have formally launched our specialized Pediatrics Department, a dedicated unit within our Direct-to-Patient Site designed to bring the trial to the child, not the other way around. 👩⚕️ As our Medical Director of Pediatric Medicine, Dr. BouaSy Huneycutt, points out in our latest blog, this shift is about more than just convenience—it’s about better science. 🏠 By keeping a child in a familiar, comfortable setting, we capture more accurate, high-quality data that reflects their true state, rather than a reaction to a stressful environment. ✅ With 50-state medical licensure and multiple completed FDA inspections, we are proving that the highest standard of clinical integrity can happen right at the kitchen table. 🧸 Read the full insights from Dr. Huneycutt here: https://lnkd.in/edC5etU5 #PediatricResearch #Pediatrics #ClinicalTrials #ClinicalResearch #PatientCentricity #Science37

  • Expertise Matters. Especially in Pediatrics. Happy Certified Nurses Day! Today, we are spotlighting some of our Research-Grade Nurses who power Science 37’s Pediatrics Department. 🧸 What does in-home "Research-Grade" nursing actually look like in Pediatrics? It looks like a research-trained, GCP, HSR, and IATA certified nurse with experience in pediatric clinical settings and home-based care who understands exactly how to collect complex PK samples while keeping a five-year-old calm and engaged in their own home. Being an at-home Clinical Research Nurse is more than just a title—it’s a badge of expertise that allows Science 37 to provide a seamless, safe, and rigorous trial experience for our youngest participants. We believe that pediatric breakthroughs shouldn't be slowed down by geography. Thanks to our certified nursing network, we’re bringing the future of medicine to families across the U.S. To learn more about how Science 37 supports pediatric research, visit our department page: https://lnkd.in/eF2Endxs #CertifiedNursesDay #ClinicalResearch #ClinicalTrials #PediatricResearch #Pediatrics
