About us

Like other credit unions, PEFCU was built on the principle of "people helping people," meaning our primary goal is to help members improve their financial health and well-being. But our commitment doesn’t stop at giving our members access to affordable financial products. We also strive to meet the needs of underserved communities. PEFCU is honored to be a part of the proud credit union tradition of strengthening our local communities. PEFCU started over 60 years ago to provide financial services with lifetime value to the employees and families of Publix Super Markets, Inc. We believe an organization is only as strong as the people in it. We pride ourselves on our commitment to our values: caring, inclusivity, transparency, accountability and innovation. And we apply these values to our employees, our members, and our community. PEFCU's main office is in Lakeland, Florida. There are five full-service branch offices located in Florida: Pembroke Pines, Royal Palm Beach, Altamonte Springs, Sarasota, and Jacksonville. There is currently one full-service branch located in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Updates

  • March was a powerful month of Service with Purpose at PEFCU, with associates across Florida coming together to make a meaningful impact in the communities we serve. From supporting over 5,000 meals through food distribution efforts and providing more than 4,600 pounds of pet food to local families, to participating in environmental clean-ups and walking in support of survivors of domestic violence, our teams demonstrated what it truly means to lead with heart. We were also honored to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Junior Achievement Discovery Center in Polk County, an innovative investment in financial literacy and workforce readiness for future generations. As a committed partner, PEFCU is proud to play a role in shaping this transformative space. These efforts reflect the passion and dedication of our associates, and we’re excited to carry this momentum forward into April and beyond. 🔗 Read the full recap and learn more about how we’re making a difference. https://bit.ly/4dlCVEp

I had the opportunity to spend time with members of our Publix Employees Federal Credit Union Jacksonville Market supporting Hubbard House, Inc. and it was truly inspiring. It was a beautiful Saturday morning filled with hope, love, and a shared commitment to making a positive impact in our community. • What an incredible evening at our Women’s History & Empowerment Panel! 💬✨ The conversation was powerful, inspiring, and even a little funny at times; reminding us just how impactful it can be when women come together to share their experiences, perspectives, and encouragement with one another. A huge thank you to our phenomenal panelists, Ileana Kniss, Danielle Wood, Da'Lecia McDougal, and Shannon Patten, and discussion leader, Sadie Hammack, for bringing such authenticity, wisdom, and energy to the conversation. Your stories sparked meaningful dialogue and left all of us feeling motivated, empowered, and proud to continue lifting one another up. Events like this are a reminder that when we create space to listen, learn, and support each other, we all grow stronger together. 🩵

  • At PEFCU, we know that great service starts with great people. For Employee Appreciation Day, our branches brought a little bit of the islands to the workplace with a luau-themed celebration, featuring games, food, snacks, and sweet treats for our associates. 🌺 It was a fun way to celebrate the team whose dedication, collaboration, and commitment to our mission make a difference for our members every day!
