🎭 Yesterday, Free Times hosted an Arts Forum at Harbison Theatre At Midlands Technical College — an evening dedicated to exploring the current state and future of the arts in our region. 🎨 The forum brought together artists, organizers and advocates for a series of dynamic conversations on collaboration, funding, scheduling and the role of the arts in strengthening the community. 🎤 The event was moderated by Zoe Nicholson with a panel that included speakers Xavier Blake of ONE Columbia, Michaela Pilar Brown of the Mike Brown Contemporary, Kristin Cobb of Harbison Theatre, Chad Henderson of SC Philharmonic, Darion McCloud of the NiA Company and William Starrett of the SC Ballet. 🙏 Thank you to everyone who joined us for this event and to our partners and panelists for helping make the evening such a success including support from Anne Spencer Muncy.

News Intern Morgan Cook also led a session on applying and preparing for the SC Journalist of the Year competition, offering firsthand advice on crafting a strong portfolio.
