  • Would you know what to do if someone overdosed in front of you? Most people don't, because no one ever taught them. Today is International Overdose Awareness Day. We remember the people we've lost, and we do what helps prevent the next loss - we educate and prepare ourselves. We built a quick interactive guide called "How to Save a Life". It walks anyone through the signs of an overdose and exactly what to do, including how to use Narcan. The last step shows you where to find Narcan near you. Find the link to the guide in the comments. We hope this will be useful for any workplace, school, or team. Take a few minutes, then send it to someone on your team, in your family, or in your building. If you or someone you love is struggling, we're here 24/7, and we accept Medicaid. Call (888) 208-6121 or visit us at PinnacleTreatment.com. #OverdoseAwarenessDay #EndOverdose #Narcan #HarmReduction

  • For many people, the decision to get addiction treatment is a barrier in itself. But finding a way to actually get there is a major hurdle that people don't often think about. Last week, three of our leaders from Stepping Stone of North Carolina (A Pinnacle Treatment Center) attended the Mission Mobile Medical Leadership Summit in Greensboro, NC, learning how mobile care can close that gap. The theme was "From Insight to Impact," with a keynote from leadership expert and bestselling author John C. Maxwell. Two days of hands-on labs on mobile clinic operations, funding models, and the policy work it takes to bring care directly to the people who need it most. Meeting people where they are, literally, is exactly the kind of thinking that saves lives. We're thrilled to be launching our own Mobile Clinic in North Carolina in the coming months and proud of our team for showing up and bringing it home: - MeLane Childress Barber, Executive Director - Shanna Houston, Assistant Executive Director - Tammy Dishman, RN Health Coach If you work in mobile or community health across North Carolina, we'd love to connect. This is the work, and it's better done together. #AddictionTreatment #MobileHealth #Recovery #CommunityHealth

  • "What can we do to help you get there?" For Carrie, that question from our team represented something very different from what she had experienced before. After years of addiction, grief, setbacks and loss, she came to Martinsville Treatment Services in Indiana and found a team focused not on what she had done wrong, but on what she needed to keep moving forward. Today, Carrie is committed to her recovery, working through grief in counseling, rebuilding relationships with her sons and learning to accept support from others. Her Comeback Story is a meaningful look at what compassionate, individualized care can look like and the difference it can make when someone feels heard, supported and respected.
