  • The Zurich Classic of New Orleans has been recognized for leadership in sustainable golf and sporting events, having successfully achieved GEO Certified® status for the 2025 edition. The award is assured by the international non-profit GEO Foundation for Sustainable Golf. The distinction is presented to tournaments that adopt a comprehensive approach to a range of priority environmental and community topics, meet international standards, and put in place continual improvement plans. The scope includes all aspects of event operations, including temporary event staging, communications, lasting legacies and engagement of venues. Inspired by Zurich Insurance's commitment to sustainability, TPC Louisiana has also achieved GEO Certified® status for 2025. https://lnkd.in/eYwdrKg9

  • Qualtrics has been announced as the official tool of the PGA TOUR's new “Voice of the Gallery” program, part of the TOUR’s Fan Forward initiative designed to elevate fan experiences across PGA TOUR events by understanding and acting on their needs. The PGA TOUR launched the Voice of the Gallery program, powered by Qualtrics, to capture insights into the on-site experience from fans attending PGA TOUR events in post-round feedback. As part of the Fan Forward initiative, Qualtrics enables event staff to identify and address challenges while fans are still on site, creating a more engaging and responsive experience at all PGA TOUR events. As an example, during the 2025 Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches, fan feedback through the program translated directly into real-time action, with guest input highlighting the need for enhanced bar staffing at certain areas, with additional support added in response. Later in the week, feedback on reduced concessions near the 17th hole resulted in added inventory and expanded staffing at the high-traffic location, ensuring fans had ample amenities as they followed the action. https://lnkd.in/eHwEm8hs

  • Four generations of PGA TOUR leadership in one photo ⛳️ On Tuesday, the PGA TOUR unveiled the Deane Beman Den inside the Global Home, honoring the longtime TOUR Commissioner for his lasting impact on the organization and the game of golf. Located on the first floor of the Global Home, the space celebrates the three defining phases of Beman’s remarkable career: decorated amateur, four-time PGA TOUR winner and transformational commissioner. “It’s incredibly meaningful to see these different periods of my life brought together in one place,” said Beman. “The PGA TOUR has always been about people—players, staff, partners and fans—and I’m grateful to have been part of its growth. I hope this space reflects the spirit of collaboration and ambition that defined those years.” The moment marked a historic occasion for the organization, as Beman stood alongside his successor Tim Finchem, current Commissioner Jay Monahan and PGA TOUR CEO Brian Rolapp—bringing together the TOUR’s leadership across four eras for the first time. Beman served as PGA TOUR Commissioner from 1974 to 1994, a 20-year tenure that transformed the TOUR’s competitive and business landscape. During his leadership, the TOUR’s assets grew from approximately $400,000 to nearly half a billion dollars, driven largely by groundbreaking television agreements that elevated professional golf’s reach and visibility worldwide. Inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2000, Beman also received the PGA TOUR Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007. His contributions extended beyond the creation of THE PLAYERS Championship, establishing the Senior PGA TOUR, now PGA TOUR Champions, and the Ben Hogan Tour, now the Korn Ferry Tour, creating a defined pathway to the PGA TOUR for up-and-coming professionals. In 1979, he secured 415 acres in Ponte Vedra Beach for $1—land that became TPC Sawgrass and the TOUR’s permanent headquarters beginning in 1982. Today, events across all Tours have contributed more than $4 billion in charitable giving—an enduring reflection of the model Beman helped strengthen and scale. The Deane Beman Den joins the Commissioner Tim Finchem Library at TPC Sawgrass as permanent tributes to the leaders who pioneered unprecedented growth for the PGA TOUR.

“When you get two giants like the PGA TOUR and NFL Films to come together on something like this, it’s almost unprecedented.” NFL Films director Steve Trout discusses the collaboration between PGA TOUR Studios and NFL Films on “Chasing Sunday” – an all-access, Hard Knocks-style look at THE PLAYERS Championship that is available on PGA TOUR and NFL Films YouTube channels starting tonight, Tuesday, March 17, at 9 p.m. ET.

  • Every eagle and double eagle recorded during this week's THE PLAYERS Championship helps generate funding for youth development organizations nationwide through Morgan Stanley’s Eagles for Impact program. The Stadium Course was built to test the world’s best players in a unique and visually intimidating way. Pete Dye incorporated several risk-reward holes that challenge players to weigh bold strategy against potential danger, with water hazards, sharp angles and dramatic visuals separating safety from trouble. Holes like the famous par-5 16th – part of TPC Sawgrass’ iconic closing stretch – and the drivable par-4 12th present opportunities for eagles, but only for players willing to take on the course’s many obstacles. Those high-stakes decisions often produce some of the tournament’s most exciting moments – and through #EaglesForImpact, they also help support the next generation of golfers and leaders. Since launching in 2017, the Eagles for Impact initiative has contributed $5,000 for every eagle or double eagle recorded during the tournament, generating nearly $2 million in donations to youth development organizations nationwide, including First Tee. https://lnkd.in/e4Wg9tj7
