According to today’s Paychex Small Business Employment Watch, jobs and wage growth among U.S. small businesses with fewer than 50 employees remained stable in March amid an evolving set of challenges. The Small Business Jobs Index ticked up 0.04 percentage points from February to 98.81 in March, while hourly earnings growth for workers remained below three percent for the 17th consecutive month in March at 2.66%. 🔍Why It Matters Since 2014, the Paychex Small Business Employment Watch has been a trusted source of employment trends for U.S. small businesses with fewer than 50 employees.
