What was once an active coal mine is now helping feed thousands of East Texas families. Since 2022, the NRG Dewey Prairie Garden has harvested more than five tons of fruits and vegetables and donated it to local food banks, helping support communities where access to fresh food can be limited. Powered by volunteers and made possible through our partnership with Texan by Nature, the garden is an example of how reclaimed land can continue serving the community for generations.
