🌎 Applications are OPEN for the Emerging Leaders in Global Health NC Cohort! We’re looking for six undergraduate and graduate students from North Carolina universities who are curious about global health, eager to learn across disciplines, and ready to develop the skills to become the next generation of global health changemakers. This is not just another leadership program. Over the course of a year, Emerging Leaders will: 🎤 Develop their skills in storytelling, public speaking, networking, advocacy, and professional communication 🤝 Learn directly from leaders across North Carolina’s global health community 🌎 Explore the many disciplines and sectors that make NC a global health leader 💡 Lead conversations with visiting professionals and build their own professional networks 🏛️ Visit organizations across the state and see global health in action 📣 Develop and deliver a memorized talk sharing their vision for the future of global health And it all culminates on April 7, 2027, when the six Emerging Leaders will take the stage at the NC Global Health Alliance’s Spring Event at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center (NCBiotech) and share their ideas with an audience of 150+ global health professionals. We piloted this concept at our 2025 Fall Event with five student speakers, and their ideas, courage, and voices were one of the highlights of our entire year. We’re excited to build on that experience and give a new cohort the opportunity to learn, lead, and be heard.
