Leilehua FFA member Pookela Kauhane saw a challenge and built a solution. Through his Supervised Agricultural Experience, Kauhane created a mobile farm stand that supports produce sales for the chapter’s 5-acre school farm while giving him valuable experience in welding, construction and project management. His project demonstrates how agricultural education equips students with technical skills, leadership experience and the confidence to turn ideas into real-world impact. 🔗 https://ffa.pub/4uvuPP9

For National FFA Organization member Justin Myers, “Doing to Learn” has meant turning hands-on experience into a future in agriculture. A graduate of Forreston FFA and current student at Highland Community College, Myers built an impressive SAE program rooted in his family’s Northern Illinois farm. Through years of dedication and record keeping, he earned numerous honors, including Illinois State Winner in diversified crop entrepreneurship, national finalist recognition and selection as the Illinois candidate for American Star Farmer. Beyond the awards, Myers credits his SAE experiences with teaching him valuable skills in time management, organization and financial management, all preparing him to continue growing his future in agriculture. For Wisconsin FFA Association members, “Day on the Hill” is more than a visit to the state capitol, it’s an opportunity to discover the impact their voices can have on the future of agriculture. During National FFA Week, members traveled to Madison, Wisconsin to meet with legislators, share the value of agricultural education and advocate for their local communities. Through conversations with state leaders and representatives, students gained confidence, built meaningful connections and returned home with a stronger sense of pride in both their chapters and the future of Wisconsin agriculture.
